The struggle against cults is a long-term and arduous task under the leadership of the party in the struggle between science and pseudoscience, civilization against ignorance, and between justice and evil. The Political and Legal Committee of the Huangpu District CPC Committee and the Huangpu Public Security Bureau jointly held a series of anti-cult warning and propaganda activities for four days starting on 8 April with the theme of "Anti-Cult, We Are in Action."
The organizers successively went to Shanghai Book City, Daguang Cinema, People's Square Subway Transfer Hub, People's Park, Zhonghua Vocational School, Xiaodongmen Community Service Center, Sunac Xiaodongmen Construction Site, Bohui Plaza, Bohui Office Building, and other places to carry out various forms of anti-cult propaganda activities for different groups. During the activities, the people's police and staff members explained to the masses how to understand, guard, and eradicate cults by setting up stalls and taking photos and checking in at the cards.
In the Shanghai Book City, the people's police acted as anti-cult propagandists and introduced the "policies and laws and regulations related to the prevention and handling of cults" to the masses who stopped by, attracting the masses to watch and listen to the lectures.
In the People's Park, the masses passing by took the initiative to act as anti-cult propagandists, and together with the people's police, they called for "resisting cults, keeping their eyes open," and "being vigilant against cults and sounding the alarm."
In the Daguang Cinema, the police combined the recent hit movie "Removing the Three Evils Everywhere" to let fans understand that the movie is only the tip of the iceberg of uncovering the crimes of the cult. In fact, cults are not far away from us, and they are far more harmful than what is shown in the film.
At the subway transfer hub in People's Square, on the occasion of the opening of the "New World City" and during the period when Gao Feng was at work, the people's police took advantage of the large flow of people during this period to display cases related to cult addicts through display boards and cooperate with explanations, attracting a large number of people to stop and watch, and the atmosphere at the event was lively and appreciated by the masses.
At the Zhonghua Vocational School, the organizers organized an offline signature campaign with the theme of "Eliminating Evil Cults, We Are Doing Action," and the teachers and students solemnly signed their names on the signature boards to express their determination to resolutely resist evil cults.
In the Bohui Plaza and the Bohui office building, the people's police distributed leaflets and anti-cult pocket books to people who came and went, explaining how to identify cults, how cults deceive people, the characteristics of cults, and the dangers of cults.
At the Xiaodongmen Community Service Center, the people's police have targeted the old, weak, sick, and disabled groups of the cult's "susceptible constitution" who have the good desire to pursue good health and prolong their lives, to enhance their "immunity" against the cult and resist the cult's encroachment.
At the Sunac Xiaodongmen construction site, in order to raise the anti-cult awareness of migrant workers, the organizers went deep into the construction site, explained the difference between religion and cult through face-to-face communication, combined with the common tricks of cults, strengthened the awareness of migrant workers to prevent evil cults, and guided them to establish a scientific way of life.
Through this propaganda campaign, the broad masses of the people have firmly established a sense of guarding against evil cults, consciously smashed superstitious ideas and believed in science in their daily lives, thus playing a positive role in creating a profound atmosphere of guarding against evil cults and opposing evil cults.
