In the past, the chassis products of the Sugar Cube Machinery Master have been loved by many small chassis enthusiasts with their compact design. Recently, they launched the first F36 MATX chassis in the Aviator series, featuring a small short air duct design to support the current development of the current booming rear plug-in motherboard, committed to the combination of heat dissipation, installation experience, and compactness. At present, the new product has been put on the shelves of the BOE Sugar Machinery Master Chassis flagship store, providing two colors, black and white, and the price starts at 389 yuan.

The F36 chassis measures 402×216×369mm (excluding floor pads) and has a volume of about 32L, which is not very compact compared to some popular small MATX cases. The overall frame is made of SPCC steel and weighs 4.9kg.

The front panel of the case provides a large area of heat dissipation mesh, and the MECHANIC logo and the model number of the F36 are displayed underneath. The top is fully enclosed, with only the I/O port cut-out, which contains a USB 10Gbps Type-C, two USB 5Gbps Type-A, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a metal power button. This I/O panel can be replaced with the LOGO module on the front panel to adapt to the different needs of users.

The bottom cover also gives a large area of heat dissipation mesh, and is equipped with a dust filter, and the 23mm height foot pad provides a certain space for air inlet and outlet. The mesh is still carried out on the back, except for the power compartment opening, which is a large honeycomb heat dissipation opening. One side is a glass side panel, and the other side is a conventional metal side panel. In addition to the bottom cover, which needs to be fixed with hand-screwed screws, the front panel and side panels are equipped with spherical clamps for tool-free quick assembly and quick disassembly.

In terms of installation compatibility, the F36 chassis supports MATX/ITX motherboards, and reserves the interface opening of the back-plug motherboard, giving a 24mm width of cable management space on the back, while the conventional cable routing holes are covered with plastic film to ensure the aesthetics of the front.

The power compartment is designed to be top-mounted, which is more friendly to the heat dissipation of the graphics card, but for the power supply itself, it may absorb some heat from the graphics card and CPU cooler. The power supply supports ATX specifications, with a maximum length of 17CM, and if the power supply length is stuck to the limit, it may affect the wiring. The tail space of the power compartment, which could originally be used as a hard disk compartment, has been changed to a light panel/secondary screen installation outside the warehouse, and the official light board bracket accessories are still under development.

There is a fixed position for a 2.5-inch hard disk on the back of the power compartment, and two 2.5-inch and one 3.5-inch hard disk bays on the back.

The maximum size of the graphics card is 384mm long, 160mm high, and 4.5 slot thick, and the length is reduced to 369mm when a 25mm thick fan is installed on the front panel, and the length is reduced to 340mm when installing a regular thickness radiator, which can basically cover most graphics card models. There's also a simple graphics card tray on the panel that holds the motherboard in place.

THE F36 CHASSIS SUPPORTS UP TO 4 12CM (BACK AND BOTTOM) AND 2 12/14CM FANS (FRONT PANEL), AND THE FRONT PANEL CAN BE INSTALLED WITH UP TO 280 RADIATORS, SUPPORTING FULL-TOWER AIR COOLING. In addition, in order to establish a good heat dissipation air duct, the 14CM fan mounting hole on the front panel of the case does not have a gap for up and down adjustment, in order to achieve a better air intake effect of sealing and diversion, while the 12CM fan installation hole still leaves a gap, and it is recommended that users give priority to installing a 14CM fan. However, in order to cater for users who need to use a 12CM fan, Master Mechanic has provided a 3D model of the pad adapter for players to download, so as to ensure that it has the same sealing effect.

According to the official thermal test results, the F36 chassis is double-baked at a room temperature of 24±0.3°C after installing the Core i7-13700KF CPU, RTX 3070Ti graphics card, dual-tower air-cooled radiator, and 1 12CM and 2 14CM fans.

Overall, the compactness of the F36 chassis is more based on hardware compatibility and air duct rationality, not just for the sake of being small and small, which can actually be regarded as another direction for the pursuit of the ultimate.
