On May 19, Taopu Town, Putuo District, officially released the "Ring Taoyuan, City Walking" cultural tourism map, the map covers three TOPWALK roaming and cycling routes with different points and different scenery, covering the eastern, central and western areas of Taopu Town.
On the day of the event, the first batch of TOPWALK experience officers accepted the letter of appointment and experienced three different TOPWALK routes in three ways. The first batch of TOPWALK experience officers brought together citizens of all ages from all walks of life, including front-line staff from the community, entrepreneurs who have invested in Taopu, as well as the new generation of teenagers and children from various schools, photography enthusiasts, running group runners, media practitioners, etc.
According to reports, the three routes of TOPWALK are "Taopu Roaming", "Riding in the Wind" and "Oasis Swimming", which are slightly different in the difficulty of strolling and riding, and the point setting is slightly different, covering to meet the different needs of people of different ages. For example, the "Taoyuan Roaming" route is suitable for life and leisure, starting from Putuo Sports Park, passing through Taopu Western Party and Mass Service Center, Baili Life Plaza TOPMALL, Taopu Community Cultural Activity Center, Chunguang Park, and ending at the North and South Hall Park.
"The route is not long, you can wait for a cup of coffee at any time along the way, find a bench to sit down and drink coffee and read a book, which is very suitable for parents and children and elderly citizens to stroll and visit." The relevant person in charge of Taopu Town further introduced that the electronic and paper versions of the cultural tourism map of "Ring Taoyuan and Walking in the City" will be distributed to various communities in the town one after another, so that residents can easily access and roam at any time.
In addition, in order to further enhance the experience of citizens participating in TOPWALK, 60 specially modified bicycles of Hello Bike will be launched in Taopu Community at the same time, so that citizens can ride macaron-colored bicycles with uniform design and appearance and lighter riding at any time to start the "City Walk Around Taoyuan", bringing a new experience of TOPWALK to citizens who love cycling and checking in.
According to reports, Taopu Town is one of the key areas for the transformation and development of Shanghai's central urban area, and ten years ago, as a key old industrial area in Shanghai at that time, it began to plan for transformation and build an ecological city of smart technology. In 2023, Taopu Town will have a green coverage rate of 31.25% and a per capita public green space area of 28.89 square meters, becoming a veritable "green lung" in the central city of Shanghai. The purpose of this event is to guide the public to immerse themselves in Taopu's profound and long historical accumulation and the ever-changing urban appearance through participating in cultural and sports activities, further enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses, stimulate the vitality of Taopu enterprises and residents to innovate and create, and yearn for a better life, so as to empower Taopu to build a green, low-carbon, ecological, livable, and business-friendly "happy city".
In the next step, according to the "Guidelines for the Planning and Construction of Taopu Park Town" jointly launched by the Taopu Town Government and the Shanghai Landscape Design and Research Institute, Taopu Town will continue to enhance the all-round value of the urban space from the five directions of ecology, culture, popular science, economy and art, and update the construction from multiple dimensions such as the urban green space system, the town's cultural brand, the vibrant block, and the interactive art decoration, so as to create a park-like town with Taopu's characteristic blue-green space.
