Sha Seng's wish We all know that Sha Seng was originally the general of the heavenly court and a popular person around the Jade Emperor, but because he broke the glass cup of the Queen Mother, he was demoted to the mortal world and became a demon. Guanyin Bodhisattva obeyed the will of Rulai, searched for the scriptures, and met the sand monk when he passed by the quicksand river. The Bodhisattva only knew the origin of the sand monk and the suffering he had suffered. So I wanted to include him in the scripture learning team, firstly, to relieve his pain, and secondly, to promise that after the matter was completed, he would be reinstated.
Sha Seng agreed without hesitation when he heard about such a good thing, so he became Tang Seng's third apprentice, and had the Dharma name, called Sha Wujing. In this process, we found that the reason why Sha Seng participated in the scripture study team was because his two demands were satisfied, one was that before joining the scripture study team, he had to undergo the torture of ten thousand swords through the chest every seven days. The second is that after the success of learning the scriptures, Guanyin Bodhisattva promised to reinstate him as an official. It is precisely because of this that he is willing to participate in the scripture learning team.
The result is contrary to the wish However, after the end of the scriptures, if you come to talk about meritorious deeds and reward, you will be promoted to a golden-bodied Arhat, which is still different from Sha Seng's curtain general, and there is still a gap with Sha Seng's long-cherished wish. Friends may say that it is a very good ending for Sha Seng to become a golden-bodied Arhat. Of course, some friends who have read the original book will say that this golden-bodied Arhat of Sha Seng is not an ordinary Arhat, its full name is the Golden-bodied Arhat Bodhisattva, which is a Bodhisattva, much better than the previous roller shutter generals.
In fact, otherwise, the gap between the golden-bodied Arhat Bodhisattva of the sand monk and his previous curtain general is still relatively large. First of all, in terms of rank, the status of the Rolling Shutter General is higher than that of the Golden Arhat Bodhisattva. Because the governing body of the Three Realms is the Heavenly Court, even the Spirit Mountain is under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly Court. And the sand monk's curtain general is equivalent to the secretary or bodyguard level of the Jade Emperor, although the position is not very high, but he has real power. On the other hand, the golden-bodied Arhat Bodhisattva, although it belongs to the Bodhisattva, is still very different from the senior Bodhisattvas such as Guanyin Bodhisattva and Fuxian Bodhisattva. I have read the works of Mr. Lin Qingxuan before, and he once said that the number of bodhisattvas is very amazing, far from what we understand that there are only a dozen. As a newcomer, Sha Seng has a particularly low status, and I am afraid that there will be no good things.

On the other hand, the general of the roller blind, at his peak, was a hot figure, that is to say, the sand monk was also brilliant, he once said:
I am respected in the South Heaven Gate, and I am called in front of the Lingxiao Palace. Hang the tiger head card on the waist, and hold the demon scepter in your hand. The golden helmet on his head shines in the sun, and his armor shines brightly. I take the lead in escorting back and forth, and I am on top of the court when I go in and out.
Therefore, from the perspective of affordability, the general of the roller shutter has much more real power than his later golden-bodied Arhat Bodhisattva. For example, in the Pan Tao Society, the general of the rolling shutter can enter and exit freely, but he, the golden-bodied Arhat Bodhisattva, is not qualified. Because it is impossible to invite all the bodhisattvas in the invitation list of the Pan Tao Society. It can be seen that the sand monk actually suffers.
Why didn't you protest on the spot If this happened to the old pig, the old pig would have been complaining all over the place. However, Sha Seng didn't say a word, as if he was very satisfied with Rulai's reward. Why is that? The reasons are manifold. First, Sha Seng has gone through so much and finally understood a lot of things. In the past, when he was still in the position of the general of the rolling shutter, when he was still the Red Man of the Jade Emperor, he was arrogant, and when he went in and out of the place, the immortals treated him like the stars holding the moon. However, after breaking the glass, the people who had a good relationship with him in the past and respected him ran faster than rabbits. Especially when it came to agreeing on the guilt, the huge heavenly court didn't even have a person to intercede for him.
Even the good old man Tai Bai Xing has three commandments, you must know that Tai Bai Xing once saved Tang Seng, saved Sun Wukong and saved Zhu Bajie, but Sha Seng is here, he is deaf. At this critical juncture, it was the barefoot immortal who said a few good words, which saved Sha Seng from death. You must know that the barefoot immortal is not an official member of the Heavenly Court, although he has vast magical powers and high mana, his identity is only a scattered immortal. It's as if you have a big disaster in your unit, and your colleagues avoid it, but a passer-by pleads with your big leader. So how do you feel in your heart? Therefore, Sha Seng is not very willing to return to Heaven, once a person is injured, it is difficult to return to the past.
Sha Monk
Second, when Sha Seng was demoted to the mortal world, he didn't want to be as free as the old pig, he also had to undergo the torture of ten thousand swords piercing his chest every seven days, and after he joined the scripture learning team, this torture was canceled, for him, the exemption from torture was already a good result, and there was no pity that he could not be reinstated.
Third, the reinstatement of officials is promised by the Buddhist sect, but the implementation process is very difficult. Because the position of the general of the curtain is very important, it can be said that the Jade Emperor can't leave this person at any time, but this person is not necessarily a sand monk. I talked about the organizational structure of the Heavenly Court before, because the vast majority of Heavenly Court personnel have a long lifespan, even if they don't have an admission ticket to the Pan Tao Club, they can also prolong their lives in various ways, such as the red dates of the birthday star, which can easily make people live for hundreds of years, and there are countless similar elixir and fairy fruits. Therefore, the position of Heavenly Court is relatively fixed, and it has not been replaced for a long time, since Sha Seng left, the new curtain general will soon take office, and Sha Seng has long lost his position. Even if the Buddha sect intercedes for it, it is difficult to achieve, after all, the Jade Emperor is the master of the Three Realms, and even the Bodhisattva cannot interfere with the personnel management of the Jade Emperor.
In the end, there are many doubts about Sha Seng's descent from the Buddha, which has been analyzed in detail in the previous article, and the conclusion is that Sha Seng is a chess piece planted by the Jade Emperor in the Buddhist sect, in order to better supervise the Buddhist sect. You must know that he has eaten the ninth generation of the golden cicada, if he is really a wild monster with no background, I am afraid that he would have been cleaned up a long time ago. Therefore, even if the Bodhisattva suggested to the Jade Emperor that he should be reinstated, I am afraid that the Jade Emperor would not agree. Therefore, the sand monk can only accept the position of golden-bodied arhat.

And the leader of Sha Seng is the Jade Emperor, and he can only serve him unconditionally. In terms of Heavenly Court, he was not tolerated by his colleagues, and in Lingshan, he had a history of eating golden cicadas, so he could only rely on the Jade Emperor, and the Jade Emperor let him lurk, so he had to accept such an order.
