"Mission: Impossible 8" was originally planned to be filmed consecutively with "Mission: Impossible 1", which grossed more than $500 million at the box office. If it weren't for the distraction of the strike, MI:8 would have been in front of fans at the end of this summer, but now has a scheduled release date of May 23, 2025.
