Russia is suspected of sacrificing its last shield to defend the lifeline, and if it is destroyed, the West is afraid that it will launch a general offensive

For a long time, high-end American-made weapons and advanced Russian-style equipment have always been regarded by many as invincible battlefield myths. It can be said that there is an endless stream of people from all over the world who come to these two countries to buy weapons. However, as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine intensifies, the entire battlefield in Ukraine, and even in Russia itself, is full of debris from the "mythical weapons" of these two military powers. And just recently, or in response to the West's loosening of restrictions on the use of weapons in Ukraine, news came out that Russia seems to have sacrificed its last shield.

According to the American website "War Zone", the head of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency said that the Russian S-500 anti-aircraft missile system has appeared in the city of Kerch. Designed to defend the Crimean bridge, the lifeline of the Russian army on the front line.

Here we will not go into detail about the performance of the S-500 anti-aircraft missile system, interested netizens may collect the relevant information on their own. However, it doesn't matter if you don't know much about it. There are only two things we need to know:

First, the S-500 can theoretically intercept almost all of the U.S. air weapons in service on paper.

Second, the S-500 is one of Russia's last cards, and the Russian army can no longer come up with more advanced conventional weapons than this.

After everyone understands it, don't take it for granted that it is impossible for the S-500, a weapon at the bottom of the Russian army, to be destroyed by the Ukrainian army. As we said at the beginning, in the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield, there are almost all the dregs of "mythical weapons". For example, Patriot, Leopard 2, Hymars, Su-35, S-400 and so on.

In other words, if the information released by the Ukrainian side is true, it is equivalent to Putin making a very risky "big gamble".

Let's imagine that if in the future battle, Ukraine successfully proves that the S-500 can also be destroyed with practical actions, it means that the United States, which has a nuclear missile assault force in its hands, will no longer be afraid of Russia.

Going deeper, if Russia really deployed the S-500 anti-aircraft missile system for the first time to protect Crimea. Then we can clearly perceive three points.

On the one hand, the West's "sausage-slicing" tactic has almost exhausted Putin's hole cards. Russia took out the last hole card and put it on the battlefield, which should be a helpless move.

On the other hand, the "nuclear stick" wielded by Russia, the deterrent effect of the West, is weakening day by day. The collective West now has no choice but to stop military exercises against Ukraine, and has even stepped up its efforts to allow the Ukrainian army to attack Russia's homeland.

On the other hand, according to Russia's priority to deploy such a hole card as the S-500 to Crimea, and the Ukrainian side's persistence and desire to destroy the Crimean bridge in the past two years. Presumably, it won't be long before we can see the actual combat effect of the S-500.

All in all, if the S-500 is really destroyed by Ukraine in the future, we have reason to suspect that the West will really launch an all-round general offensive against Russia in the future. However, as the saying goes, there are two sides to everything, and it is not inherently a good thing for the West as a whole. Once Putin, who has lost his strongest shield, is forced to be anxious, it is not impossible to directly press the nuclear launch button with a ruthless heart.
