Why I chose Dink: To get rid of poverty and oppression

In today's society, more and more people are choosing to refuse to have children, and I am one of them. There are many reasons why I chose Dink, but the main ones can be summarized as follows:

First of all, poverty was a big reason why I chose Dink. The precarious living conditions and the increasing financial pressure made it difficult for me to afford the cost of adding another life. While rising incomes may alleviate this burden to some extent, we poor are condemned to continue to live on the brink of struggle in the face of intense social competition and rising housing prices.

Secondly, I don't want to be a leek. The term leek derives from the unique way in which one of the crops grows, referring to individuals who have been exploited by an unfair system. They are trapped at the bottom, creating wealth for a few, but never enjoying the opportunity to succeed. I chose Dink in the hope of being able to get rid of this endless exploitation and oppression, and I don't want my children to become the leeks of the future, enslaved by capitalism.

In addition, I lost hope and anticipation for the future. The development of society brings convenience and welfare to people in some aspects, but more often than not, it also brings uncertainty and anxiety. I am worried about the instability of my job, the frequent occurrence of natural and man-made disasters, and the escalating environmental problems. Faced with such an uncertain future, I'd rather stay as I am and live a life that I can control than pass on uncertainty to the next generation.

In addition, succession has lost its crown in modern society. In the past, men passing on the family business and perpetuating incense may have been an important symbolic meaning for some families, but today, this tradition has faded. For me, giving birth is not about establishing a certain status in society or gaining some kind of recognition, but about personal growth and happiness. Not having children doesn't mean that no one will follow and love me, and there are other ways we can build our own families and social networks.

Finally, procreation should not be a sign based primarily on wealth and status. Indeed, in some wealthy families, having more children may be seen as a symbol of status and social status. However, true happiness depends not only on material accumulation, but more importantly, on one's mentality and inner pursuit. We should understand and respect everyone's definition of happiness, and continue to promote social progress and equality, so that everyone has the opportunity to choose their own lifestyle, rather than meeting the expectations of others or society through procreation.

To sum up, I chose Dink not out of willfulness or ignorance, but a true feeling of poverty and oppression. Whether it is in the face of economic pressure or social injustice, I am willing to choose to refuse to have children and pursue a free and equal life. In the future, I believe that with the progress of society and the awakening of consciousness, there will be more and more understanding and respect for Dink, bringing more choices and opportunities to each of us.
