On June 12, local time, the Houthis announced that they attacked the cargo ship "TUTOR" in the Red Sea through unmanned speedboats, drones and ballistic missiles.

On the evening of the 18th local time, according to the British Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO), which is affiliated with the British military, the cargo ship "TUTOR", which was previously attacked by the Houthis, sank 66 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen.

This is the second time that the Houthis have sunk a freighter since they announced attacks on routes such as the Red Sea. Earlier, the British freighter Rubimar sank in the waters off the coast of Yemen on March 1 after being hit by Houthi missiles.

After the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict last October, the Houthis used drones and missiles to repeatedly attack targets in Red Sea waters. Since January 12 this year, the United States and the United Kingdom have repeatedly launched airstrikes against Houthi targets, resulting in casualties. Some countries condemned the actions of the United States and the United Kingdom, arguing that they were a violation of Yemen's sovereignty and would exacerbate regional tensions.
