In pursuit of extreme speed, the performance team at INEOS Grenadiers measured Thomas' performance data at the 2022 Tour de France, balancing the average energy he expended in different riding scenarios (flat, climbing, downhill) and found that slight improvements in CdA and rolling resistance were actually more valuable than weight reductions.
