A 0.2% improvement in the coefficient of air resistance (CdA) over the course of the Grand Tour equates to a 175-gram reduction in bicycle weight.
In pursuit of extreme speed, the performance team at INEOS Grenadiers measured Thomas' performance data at the 2022 Tour de France, balancing the average energy he expended in different riding scenarios (flat, climbing, downhill) and found that slight improvements in CdA and rolling resistance were actually more valuable than weight reductions.

Every shape, every detail, every line modification on the new DOGMA F bike has been carefully designed to reduce the coefficient of air resistance (CdA).
Using the latest computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and countless wind tunnel tests, the Pinarello team has achieved a series of small but important improvements.
Down tube - Improved frontal aerodynamic penetration
The downtube has been completely redesigned to reduce its thickness, improving the front zone aerodynamics of the frame and reducing overall drag.
New pneumatic keel bottom bracket
The downtube has also been rotated 3.5° to create a keel shape, resulting in a 1.2% improvement in aerodynamics in the bottom bottom area.

Narrower, faster nose tip
Pinarello's unique forkhead tube, which has been widely emulated by our competitors since it was first introduced on the DOGMA F8 in 2014, has evolved again thanks to a more streamlined design that reduces the volume and width of the nose tip area by 8mm, resulting in improved frontal aerodynamic penetration.

Lighter and with improved wiring
To reduce the width of the head tube, Pinarello designed an innovative oval steerer tube and a completely new bowl set, using bearings of different diameters (wider at the bottom and narrower at the top). At the same time, the internal wiring method has been changed from the side of the steering tube to the front.
Barrel axle - better aerodynamics
A new, shorter barrel axle, with the bolt on the right side of the fork integrated with carbon fiber, eliminating the screw holes of the previous version; The rear derailleur has the same integrated design. This improves both the aerodynamics and aesthetics of the frame.
