Introduction to cassava flour processing technology and processing equipment

author:Jinrui Food Machinery Starch Equipment

Modern cassava flour production and processing equipment adopts wet technology, and the main steps are washing, peeling, refining, dehydrating, crushing and fine grinding, drying, etc. The production and processing equipment of cassava flour mainly includes dry sieve, pulp leaf cleaning machine, cassava peeling machine, cutting machine, filing machine, plate and frame filter press, hammer crusher, air dryer and other equipment.

1. Cleaning:

The first step is to wash the cassava, which requires a dry sieve and a pulp washing machine. Dry use a dry sieve to clean the soil and sand particles attached to the cassava, as well as the doped weeds and small stones, and then use the principle of countercurrent washing of the pulp leaf cleaning machine to remove the mud, sand and other impurities in the cassava raw materials more effectively. Remove impurities, lay the foundation for subsequent processing of cassava flour, and improve the quality of cassava flour production.

2. Refining

The second step is to crush the cassava pulp, using a cutting machine and a file mill. The cutting machine is mainly used for the pre-crushing of cassava raw materials, cutting them into sections, and then sending them to the filing mill, and then the cassava materials are filed and beaten.

3. Dehydration:

The third step is dehydration, and the tapioca pulp is dehydrated, and this step uses a plate and frame filter press to dehydrate the tapioca pulp into tapioca flour cake with about 40% moisture.

4. Crushing and fine grinding:

The fourth step is to crush and finely grind the dehydrated tapioca flour cake, which uses a hammer crusher and a fine flour machine. The tapioca flour cubes are broken up with a hammer crusher, and then the crushed cassava flour cubes are finely ground with a fine flour mill.

5. Drying:

The fifth step is to dry the tapioca flour using an air dryer. The air flow dryer drying cassava material retention drying system has a short retention and drying time, high heat exchange rate, can achieve rapid drying, and greatly improves the efficiency of drying.
