This year, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Knorr-Bremse's local production of commercial vehicles in China, An Junfeng, General Manager of Knorr-Bremse Brake Systems (Dalian) Co., Ltd., introduced that the new plant covers an area of 40,000 square meters, with a construction area of 30,625 square meters, including 11,000 square meters of advanced manufacturing workshops, 7,000 square meters of intelligent warehouses and 3,000 square meters of technology and development centers, laying a solid foundation for large-scale high-quality production. Integrating cutting-edge technologies such as robot arms and intelligent logistics systems, coupled with sophisticated cleanliness inspection, three-coordinate measurement and X-Ray testing equipment, the new factory ensures that every product reaches the top level in the industry, from air compressors to shock absorbers to disc brakes, with an annual production capacity of up to 1 million, 1 million and 700,000 units respectively, while meeting the needs of the domestic and global markets. Knorr-Bremse's new plant in Dalian is not only a production site, but also a model of green building. The rooftop solar project has been successfully connected to the grid, contributing 13% of the plant's clean energy. The new plant also actively adopts low-energy production methods, such as rainwater recycling systems, recycling resources, strict implementation of wastewater treatment and waste separation and recycling policies, and unswervingly promotes environmental protection, with the goal of increasing the proportion of green energy use to 30% by 2030. Knorr-Bremse is committed to sustainable development, leading the industry in green upgrading and setting a new benchmark for green and intelligent manufacturing.
