A few days ago, BMW officially released the official picture of the new generation of BMW M5, the new car is the seventh generation of the M5 family, codenamed G90. The biggest change in this car is that it is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 4.4T V8 engine and an electric motor, with a system output of 727 horsepower / 1000 Nm, which is officially "electrocuted". The price of the new car in the United States starts at 120675 US dollars, which is about 876,400 yuan.
The all-new M5 is also close to our Chinese consumers, and it is expected that it will make its Chinese debut and pre-sale at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 30, and will be launched in the second half of the year.
New car information
1. In terms of appearance, the new BMW M5 will adopt the latest design language of the current family, which is still a horizontal "kidney" shape and is equipped with a contour luminous light strip;
2. The car also adopts the latest headlight style of BMW, the shape is more simple, and the sense of science and technology of the whole vehicle has been added;
3. The side shape of the new car is relatively simple, there is a charging port on the left front fender, and the rear tail window also has the M5 LOGO logo, showing different identities;
4. The rear of the car continues the design of the 5 series, including the narrow taillight group shape, etc., but as an M, the new M5 also adds a carbon fiber spoiler and a large-size diffuser, and the two-sided four-outlet exhaust layout is also aggressive;
5. Tire specifications are 285/40 ZR20 at the front and 295/35 ZR21 at the rear; Compared to the previous generation M5, the new M5 has a body width of 67 mm and a ground clearance reduction of 18 mm.

Among them, the 4.4T engine has a maximum power of 585 horsepower, the electric motor has a power of 197 horsepower, and the battery pack size is 14.8kWh. In pure electric mode, it can travel up to 40km;
11. The drivetrain is mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission, which accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.4 seconds and 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. If the M Driver package is optional, the top speed can reach 306km/h! However, it should be noted that the 0-96 km/h acceleration is 0.2 seconds slower than the previous model's due to its heavier body, but the new M5 accelerates faster than its predecessor at 120-180 km/h.
