The 2024 China Charity Ceremony was held in Beijing. Mr. Ding Hemu, Founder and Honorary Chairman of ANTA Group and Honorary Chairman of ANTA Group Hemin Foundation, was awarded the "Philanthropist of the Year", ANTA Group was awarded the Charity Enterprise of the Year, ANTA Group Hemin Foundation was awarded the Model Foundation of the Year, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Fujian Hospital (Fujian Hemin Hospital) and ANTA Thrive Public Welfare Program was awarded the Charity Project of the Year.
The 2024 Charity Ceremony aims to encourage and pay tribute to individuals and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to philanthropy, promote the spirit of charity, and promote the promotion of social welfare awareness. The ceremony brought together the elites of the national philanthropic community to witness the birth of philanthropists of the year, charitable enterprises, model foundations and outstanding philanthropic projects, so as to inspire more people to devote themselves to philanthropy. At the same time, the ceremony also provided a platform for people from all walks of life to discuss the development direction and future prospects of China's philanthropy, with a view to jointly promoting the sustainable and healthy development of philanthropy and contributing to the construction of a harmonious society.
Mr. Ding Hemu, Founder and Honorary Chairman of ANTA Group and Honorary Chairman of Anta Group Hemin Foundation, has been respected and recognized by all sectors of society for his down-to-earth dedication to charity. He has been awarded heavyweight charity awards, including the "Most Caring Donor Individual" by the 7th China Charity Award, the highest government award in China's philanthropic industry, the "China Charity Outstanding Contribution Award" by the China Charity Federation, the first "Fujian Charity Award" Charity Model Award, and the "Chinese Philanthropist of the Year 2021". The Jinjiang Municipal People's Government also awarded the Ding Hemu family the honorary title of "Charity Family".
In 2021, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the group, the founder and family of the group donated 10 billion yuan to establish the Hemin Foundation, which is committed to medical assistance, athlete medical assistance, community care and other fields. Adhering to Mr. Ding Hemu's gratitude concept of benevolence, helping the needy, and giving back to the society, Hemin Foundation takes the medical and health field as the main donation direction, practices the group's value proposition of "creating symbiotic value" in the new decade, and creates a "symbiotic organization" to create social value for the public.
Fujian Hospital of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital (Fujian Hemin Hospital) is the first project after the establishment of the Hemin Foundation, with a donation of 2 billion yuan, covering an area of 205 acres, a construction area of about 240,000 square meters, and a planned total of 1,000 beds. The project officially started on March 15, 2023, and is under construction in an orderly manner, and is expected to be capped at the end of 2024, completed and put into use in the first half of 2026.
Initiated by ANTA Group in 2017 and jointly implemented by the China Youth Development Foundation and Shanghai Adream Foundation, the ANTA Stunt Charity Program focuses on youth sports and promotes the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas through the integration of sports and education. Since the launch of the project, more than 1 billion yuan has been invested in cash and equipment, covering nearly 7.29 million young people in 17,052 schools in 31 provincial-level administrative regions.
ANTA Group continues to practice public welfare and philanthropy in multiple dimensions, and works with the Hemin Foundation to promote the "Five Ones Project" for Healthy China, namely a sports charity education project, a sports promotion project, a national hospital Hemin medical project, a better life alleviation project, and an ESG environmental sustainability project, and continues to contribute to social welfare and charity. It is estimated that by 2026, ANTA Group will donate more than RMB3 billion to support charity and public welfare undertakings.
