Tang Yuesong: Build an international platform for cultural exchanges among young people

Editor's note: This year marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. In this new era of building dreams and moving forward, our hearts are full of beautiful expectations. The "Interviews" column will invite Macao people who have worked hard and contributed silently in different industries to tell their innocence and tell the story of Macao.

Tang Yue Song, as a representative of female entrepreneurs in the real estate industry in Macao, is low-key and modest, gentle and dignified. In her eyes, Macau is peaceful, harmonious and happy, and she has a lot of affection for Macau, because it is where she grew up and developed, where she has established her own business, has a happy family, and her husband is very supportive of his career. In this interview, we asked her to share her career and cultural feelings.

Actively participate in promoting the prosperity and development of culture

Talking about her life experience, Tang Yuesong said with a smile that she "started things very early", "After coming to Macau with my family when I was a child, I have always worked very hard, and I also deeply understand that life must work hard. I cherish everything I have now", she says affectionately and unpretentiously.

In recent years, Tang Yuesong and her team have organized a series of high-quality cultural exchange activities, which have been fully affirmed and praised by all walks of life, such as cooperating with famous French modern artists to hold the "Follow Me Beauty Square Painting Exhibition", hosting the "Reviving the Beauty of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage - National Cloisonné Appreciation Exhibition", participating in the 8th China (Macao) International Yacht Import and Export Expo and hosting the "Silk Rhyme Sailing" art exhibition, and hosting the "Sound of the Hao River" poetry recital at St. Paul's Secondary School in Macau. Co-hosted the first China (Macao) Chinese Costume Culture Summit Forum with Nam Kwong Group, and strived to contribute its own light and heat in enhancing the cultural soft power of the Greater Bay Area and jointly promoting the prosperity and development of culture.

Talking about why he is engaged in cultural undertakings, Tang Yuesong said frankly that it is a kind of attachment to culture, and it is also a kind of social responsibility to make him do so. Although Tang Yuesong is engaged in real estate, he has always had a cultural feeling, and likes to paint in his spare time. "I started as a real estate company, although the cultural and creative field is 'halfway home', but doing business is like this, entrepreneurship does not stop, and the spirit of entrepreneurship is always solid."

"We and Nam Kwong Cultural and Creative have exerted their team spirit and worked together to explore diversified development, and jointly developed the original Macao cultural tourism IP blind box and digital collection - 'Tide Play Macau', which includes a series of blind box products such as 'Macao Food and Light' and 'Tide Tour Macao', as well as two series of digital collections, 'Taste of Macao' and 'Roaming Macao'. Based on the concept of 'tourism + cultural creativity', this IP is tailor-made for Macao, and uses digital technology to revitalize the cultural tourism resources of the 'Historic Centre of Macao' and the 'City of Gastronomy' on the World Heritage List. Through the new form of digital cultural and creative activities, we will further promote the transformation and upgrading of cultural and creative products based on blockchain technology and the Internet, carry out innovative practices for the development of cultural and creative industries under Macao's digital format, and empower Macao's moderately diversified economic development with digital vitality."

She further said: "This year marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, and we have specially designed the '25th Anniversary of Macao's Return to the Motherland Special Edition' blind box product. In the future, we will continue to use new ideas, new forms and new methods to tell the stories of China and Macao, explore the development model of the cultural industry under the 'one country, two systems', accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Macao's cultural and creative industries, and better help Macao build a 'base for exchange and cooperation with Chinese culture as the mainstream and multicultural coexistence', actively integrate into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the overall development of the country, and promote international people-to-people exchanges and cooperation along the Belt and Road."

Unite and give full play to the power of women in Macao

When the reporter asked about the unforgettable things in his life, Tang Yuesong said with deep feelings: "There are many unforgettable things, but what touches me the most is some things that have happened in the past three years of the new crown epidemic, which I still remember vividly."

Tang Yuesong: Build an international platform for cultural exchanges among young people

"Since the return to the motherland, Macao people have been living a relatively comfortable and comfortable life, thanks to the strength of the motherland and the advantages of the 'one country, two systems' system. However, this sudden epidemic is a severe test and a rebirth, which makes us understand that the internal and external environment we are in is changing rapidly, and the life we are accustomed to is actually full of variables. Thanks to the strong support of the motherland, Macao has overcome the epidemic, ensured the safety of citizens' lives to the greatest extent, and quickly revived the economy, so that everyone in Macao can feel a sense of security and happiness."

"In October 2020, we set up a dance class of the Macau International Youth Cultural and Art Exchange Association. It may not sound like a grand event, but it is an unforgettable collective memory for our association of Macau mothers. The vast majority of the members of the dance class are Macao mothers from all walks of life. Due to the epidemic, the school running process of the dance class is not always smooth, just like the children's schooling, but every month, the instructor will carefully arrange the class schedule, choreograph the dance, and new students will join in each session; In the face of the tense situation of epidemic prevention, the dance class, like other schools in Macao, also cooperated with the epidemic prevention by suspending offline teaching and switching to online teaching, with students having to upload 'homework' and teachers supervising their learning. Whether it was rehearsals or performances, everyone went all out and studied hard. It is with this insistence that Macao mothers have gradually become famous in their dances, and from time to time clubs, enterprises, schools and other organizations invite dance classes to perform during grand celebrations."

She sighed: "Our dance class has turned some difficult days in the three years of the epidemic into an indifferent scenery like a flowing year, and the most important thing is that every time we dance, everyone returns to themselves and blooms from their hearts." In the future, we will continue to give full play to the strength of Macao mothers, join hands with small hands, draw 'concentric circles', and bloom the power of women."

Mothers are the core of the family, they play an important role in the family by creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere for the family. With dance as the carrier, Macao mothers lead by example and be positive, inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, constantly improve themselves, set the best example for the children, and vividly demonstrate the ordinary and great strength of Macao mothers to the society.
