After I parked the car, I directly searched for a homestay three or four hundred meters away from the parking lot and communicated with it by phone. At the suggestion of the owner, we parked our car in a parking space on the sidewalk.
Standing at the root of the city wall, the twenty or thirty meters high wall is not an exaggeration to summarize it as "majestic". Suddenly giving people a sense of unattainable depression, looking at it, it can really be described as "wanting to fall southeast". In front of the great work of my ancestors, I, a modern person, seem so small.
Two or three minutes later, after passing through the city gate hole, turning right and turning left, we already saw the boss waving to us. With the boss's eyesight, he picked the two of us out of the crowd with a keen eye.
On the recommendation of the owner, we came to a cottage of about 20 square meters on the second floor. A bamboo curtain gives people a long-lost casualness. Entering the door, there is a clay kang, and a small rectangular table is placed on the edge of the kang, as if returning to the countryside hometown. (I remember when I was a child, I was at my grandmother's house, and I slept on the earthen kang with the wall at night, and my heart was very stable.) Although the room is small, it is clean, and the quilt pillows are edged and flattened. Toiletries are available.
In the chat, the boss said that he always stayed in the ancient city, was depressed and panicked, and wanted to go out for a walk, but he couldn't let go of the stall in his hand. Oh, I haven't been to Pingyao, I'm in a hurry to go, and Pingyao people have lost the opportunity to go to other places because they have to receive tourists. Just like Qian Zhongshu's "people in the city want to go outside the city, and people outside the city want to go into the city", translated into the current words, the so-called tourism is to go from the place where you are tired of staying to the place where others are tired of staying.
