In his view, the next stage of AI development will go out of the laboratory of scientific research institutes and move towards "comprehensiveness", so that ordinary people who do not have programming skills and AI technology background can also freely use AI tools to better release their potential.

The whole process does not require the participation of ordinary employees

What is a "digital employee"? How does it differ from common corporate digital platforms? Wang Guanchun gave an example to illustrate: there is an internal rule within Laiye Technology that requires all employees to use their real photos as avatars after joining the office software organization. "If this matter is checked by our human resources specialist one by one and reminded by private message, it will be a lot of work and trouble." He further explained that at this time, we have configured a digital human resource employee, who can check whether employees have completed the photo upload one by one through image recognition technology, send reminders to employees who do not upload in time, and simultaneously give guidance and instructions such as upload photo specifications, "The whole process does not require the participation of ordinary employees, and digital employees can handle it themselves." ”

Unlike most existing digital workflow software, the "digital employee" intelligently automates the entire process. "Because like people, they are also employees with 'eyes', 'hands', 'mouths', and even 'brains'." Wang Guanchun said.

So, how does the "digital worker" achieve these functions? First of all, by carrying image recognition technology, "digital employees" have "eyes" to read documents and recognize pictures; The automated process is designed to have "hands" and can automatically send messages; With generative AI technology, there is a "mouth" that can interact with internal employees, external customers, and partners. In the past two years, with the advent of large language models, "digital employees" have grown "brains", machine learning models built based on data and knowledge, active thinking, and intelligent decision-making. Such "digital employees" are able to cope with complex and diverse work scenarios.

According to reports, since its launch in 2015, Laiye Technology, a digital labor platform, has accumulated nearly 60 million users and is used by more than 250 Fortune 500 companies.

Realizing great economic and social value lies in the "democratization" of technology

Since his studies, Wang Guanchun has been researching electronic information engineering and machine learning, and after graduation, he has founded several AI-related technology companies.

The reporter learned that Laiye Technology was established in 2015 and launched the first C-end companion robot "Xiaolai", which has served nearly 10 million individual users through WeChat. In 2017, the company launched a B-end product for enterprise customers - the intelligent conversational robot platform "Wulai"; In 2019, Laiye Technology merged with Aosen Technology to join hands with the robotic process automation platform "UiBot" to enter the RPA+AI market.

Years of experience in education and entrepreneurship have also made Wang Guanchun realize that AI technology will indeed bring great changes to society, "However, it is not only giant enterprises that will benefit from it, but also the majority of traditional industries, small and medium-sized enterprises, and ordinary citizens can rely on this technology to get help."

Wang Guanchun told reporters that in fact, the English name of "Laiye" is also similar to the Chinese name: "Laiye" is an English letter converted from Chinese character pinyin, which happens to contain the two letters "AI", which are highlighted. This also contains a wish of Wang Guanchun: imagine such a future scenario, everyone has their own intelligent assistant, through simple natural language interaction, the intelligent assistant can understand and serve the needs of people, "This is what I think artificial intelligence technology is really popular." ”
