Liu Ning expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce for arranging the seventh round of negotiations on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0 in Guangxi, welcomed all the delegates and guests to attend the seventh round of negotiations in Guangxi, and introduced the cooperation and exchanges between Guangxi and ASEAN. Liu Ning said that Guangxi and ASEAN are connected by mountains and rivers, and are the forefront and window of exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, thoroughly implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping and the important consensus reached with the leaders of ASEAN countries, resolutely implement President Xi Jinping's instructions on building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0, deeply practice the concept of "amity, sincerity and benefit", and continue to expand the "Nanning Channel" of China-ASEAN cooperation. We will comprehensively deepen practical cooperation with ASEAN countries in areas such as economic and trade exchanges, connectivity, people-to-people exchanges, and digital economy, and contribute to the development of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership. The 21st China-ASEAN Expo will be held in Nanning in September this year, Guangxi is willing to work with the Ministry of Commerce of China, the economic and trade departments of the governments of the 10 ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, investment, industry and people-to-people exchanges, work together to build the Silk Road of the digital economy, and make greater contributions to the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area version 3.0. Wang Shouwen thanked Guangxi for its thoughtful service and meticulous arrangements for the negotiations, and said that the China-ASEAN Expo has been successfully held in Guangxi for 20 sessions, ASEAN has remained Guangxi's largest trading partner for 24 consecutive years, and Guangxi has played a unique role and made positive contributions to deepening China-ASEAN political mutual trust, economic and trade cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges. The purpose of this negotiation is to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and ASEAN leaders, make every effort to promote the 3.0 version of the negotiations in various fields, further enhance the level of trade and investment liberalization between China and ASEAN countries, expand practical cooperation in various fields, build a higher level of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, create broader space for regional development, and actively build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
Ratchawi Biabamo said that ASEAN and China have established a comprehensive strategic partnership of mutually beneficial cooperation, and the two sides are each other's largest trading partners. Guangxi has unique advantages and plays a very important role in ASEAN-China cooperation, and the China-ASEAN Expo, which has been successfully held in Nanning for 20 sessions, has greatly promoted ASEAN-China cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and other fields. The Nanning Round is an important milestone in the ASEAN FTA negotiations. It is hoped that all parties will work together to accelerate the negotiation process of version 3.0, promote positive progress in consultations in various fields, ensure that the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area can better respond to the modern international trade pattern and global challenges, further promote trade between ASEAN and China, and promote the sustained and healthy development of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership.
