In order to effectively respond to extreme weather such as heavy rain and heavy rain in the urban area of Shenmu City, as well as secondary disasters such as waterlogging in the urban area caused by it, ensure the production and life of the people, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property. On June 27, Shenmu City organized and carried out the 2024 urban flood season flood control and drainage emergency rescue drill.
At the event site, it was simulated that under the influence of short-term heavy rainfall, the maximum rainfall in Shenmu City has reached 65.2 mm, resulting in many streets in the city being covered by rainwater, silt flowing sideways, and a lot of water on the road, and some roads are seriously damaged, forming waterlogging, and the city's flood control situation is grim.
According to the provisions of the "Shenmu City Urban Flood Control and Rescue Emergency Plan", the Level III flood prevention early warning was immediately activated. The relevant departments immediately carried out drills in seven subjects: emergency assembly, flood blocking, personnel evacuation and rescue, emergency drainage and rescue, roadway rescue, natural gas pipeline emergency repair, and water pipeline emergency repair. During the exercise, the emergency rescue team members worked closely together, compact and efficient, and all the drill subjects were completed as planned.
In this exercise, the participating units responded quickly to the rescue, and the departments cooperated closely, achieving the purpose of testing the plan, training the team, and testing the equipment, which fully reflected the standardization and institutionalization of the emergency flood prevention and rescue work. It has accumulated practical experience for emergency personnel to deal with emergencies, further improved the actual combat handling ability of the emergency team, improved the practicality of emergency plans and measures, and laid a solid foundation for urban flood control.
