Recently, the Baotou Public Works Section has replaced the rail parts whose service life is about to expire in the pipe, comprehensively improving the quality of line equipment and eliminating the potential safety hazards caused by rail aging and rail damage.
At 0:50, more than 40 workers in the Baotou Public Works Section measured the rail temperature, installed the return line, and loosened the fasteners...... The roar of machinery at the scene was endless. The workers of the mechanized maintenance workshop held the rail saw machine and began to see the rail according to the marks on the rail, and the scene suddenly sparked everywhere, and as the rail saw moved up and down, the old rail parts were smoothly peeled off from the line.
"Everyone listen to my command, pick out the old rail pieces little by little, and the crowbar must be firmly inserted." Qiao Jinbao, deputy director of the Baotou East Line Workshop and head of construction, commanded loudly. In the slogan of "one-two, one-two", the operators waved the crowbar, slowly dialed out the old rail, and then worked together to move the old track to the shoulder of the road.
Time passed minute by minute, and the replacement of old railparts was carried out in an orderly manner as planned, and the operation site was in full swing. "Everyone pay attention to safety, don't move the east end, and slowly move in the west end." At 1:50, Qiao Jinbao's voice sounded again, and a set of forks were dialed into the rail bearing groove, and after adjusting the position, the rail was quickly locked.
The operators perform their duties and carry out operations such as straightening the rubber pads, checking fasteners and fastening bolts in an orderly manner. After 10 minutes, the new rail was firmly fixed on the line. Subsequently, the rail welders began to weld the rails.
The welder ignites the welding torch in his hand to adjust the flame to the best state, holds the welding torch in one hand and reaches into the sand box to warm up, and turns on the stopwatch with the other hand to time. The flames of more than 700 degrees Celsius need to burn continuously for 6 minutes, and you can feel the heat spewing from the flames from a distance of 2 meters.
At 2:30, the grinding group appeared "shining" to polish the welded surface. As the grinding wheel swirls, sparks from the grinder and the rail fly in the air, bursting with dazzling light. After the grinding operation, the operator retightens all the rail fasteners one last time. After re-inspection, the parameters such as line gauge, level, and fastener pressure all meet the standards.
After intense work, the 180-minute "skylight" operation came to an end, and a new section of steel rail "posted" the grassland railway line.
