To my ex: Thank you for allowing me to meet a better version of myself

author:The soul of Momo

On that sunny afternoon, I sat by the window of the café, a warm latte in my hand, looking out the window at the crowd rushing through the window, and my mind couldn't help but go back to the days I spent with my ex. It's been a while since the breakup, but the imprint of that relationship on me is still warm and clear, like the heat slowly rising on this latte.

I remember that we met by chance, at that time, I was young and ignorant, full of longing and yearning for love. Your smile, your words, your every little gesture, it makes my heart move. Our love, like a flower blooming in spring, is gorgeous and short-lived. However, as time passed, the contradictions and problems between us gradually became apparent, and eventually, we chose to break up.

To my ex: Thank you for allowing me to meet a better version of myself

On the day of the parting, it was drizzling in the sky, as if even nature was mourning our parting. I felt pain and loss like I had never felt before, as if the whole world had lost its color. But it was this experience that made me start to reflect on myself and start to grow.

Falling out of love is a baptism of the soul. I began to examine my own shortcomings, and began to learn how to communicate better with others, how to be more independent and strong. I learned to find myself in solitude and learned to learn from failure. I started reading more books to broaden my horizons; I started trying new things and enriching my life. I found that the world was far wider than I imagined, and I could be better than I had ever been.

To my ex: Thank you for allowing me to meet a better version of myself

In the shadow of a broken love, I learned to heal myself. Instead of dwelling on the memories of the past, I look to the future. I started making plans, setting goals, and working one step at a time to achieve my dreams. I have become more mature, more sensible, and more aware of how to appreciate the people and things around me.

Thank you, my ex. It was your departure that gave me the opportunity to re-examine myself and give me the opportunity to meet a better version of myself. Although our story does not continue, what you have given me is a valuable life lesson. You made me understand that love is not the whole of life, and self-growth and perfection are the eternal themes of life.

To my ex: Thank you for allowing me to meet a better version of myself

Now, when I face feelings again, I will approach them with a more mature mindset. I no longer pursue a vigorous love, but look forward to a calm and deep relationship. I learned to be self-conscious in love, and I learned to find a balance between giving and receiving. I believe that one day in the future, I will meet that person with whom I can spend the rest of my life together.

Falling out of love is a part of life, it makes us grow and makes us stronger. In the days to come, I will face every challenge in life with a more open mind and embrace every possibility. I believe that as long as we face it bravely and continue to grow, we will eventually meet that better self.

To my ex: Thank you for allowing me to meet a better version of myself

The latte had been drunk and the rain had stopped outside the window. I stood up, straightened my clothes, and walked out of the café with anticipation for the future and gratitude for the past. The sun was shining on my face, warm and bright, and I knew that this was just the beginning, and a better version of myself was waiting for me ahead.
