On the same day, 20 couples from both sides of the Taiwan Strait wore red Chinese wedding dresses, held red hydrangeas, strolled the red carpet, and held traditional wedding ceremonies in Fujian and Taiwan such as "Wo Xu", "Three Worships", "Same Prison", "Hejia" and "Knotting", and the newlyweds made a vow of love together in the blessings of relatives and friends, and the atmosphere was festive and joyful.

During the event, a series of supporting activities such as the "Drunken Beauty Pingtan Happiness Tour" and the Collective Wedding Carnival were also held, and the newlyweds from Fujian and Taiwan also walked into the Pingtan International Austronesian Archaeological Research Base, the Strait Railway Bridge, and the "Sleep on the Sea" B&B Group in Yutang Village to check in the scenery of Pingtan Island and share the romantic time in summer.

The event was guided by the Fujian Provincial Department of Civil Affairs and the Management Committee of the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, and hosted by the Fujian Provincial Cross-Strait Marriage and Family Service Center, the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Taiwan Compatriots and Taiwan Enterprise Service Center, and the Fuzhou Cross-Strait Marriage and Family Service Center.
