Recently, new progress has been made in the series of localized resource utilization parts jointly developed by the General Contracting Company of China Construction Eighth Bureau and the Engineering Research Institute of the Bureau, which include: desert sand burning-free bricks, desert sand prefabricated oil pools and Gobi modular concrete box houses and other products, so as to form a low-cost construction mode based on the utilization of localized resources for new energy projects in desert areas. At present, relying on the Xinjiang Midong 2GW photovoltaic project and Xinjiang Ruoqiang 1.5GW photovoltaic project, the process research and product performance test of desert sand unburned bricks have been completed.

Product Introduction

The desert sand burning-free bricks of China Construction Eighth Bureau are a new green and low-carbon products prepared by replacing the construction sand with desert sand. The R&D team fully considers the characteristics of desert sand desert sand such as small particle size, poor grading, high abrasion, and significant water absorption, and follows the principle of "adapting measures to local conditions and taking local materials", using desert sand and stone powder composite cement-based materials, using hydraulic vibration molding technology, and optimizing the mix ratio according to the characteristics of each component, which overcomes the problems of difficult molding, low strength and poor quality of desert sand building materials.

Technological advantages

Based on the principle of local materials, desert sand is used to partially replace construction sand to prepare unburned bricks, which improves the added value of desert resources and conforms to the concept of sustainable development of green buildings. Compared with ordinary bricks, the main raw material in this unburned brick, desert sand, has a lower carbon emissions, and the carbon emissions can be reduced by 2kg/t in the whole production and transportation process.

  • Low cost and reliable process

Desert sand unburned bricks use natural desert sand in the desert as the main raw material, which is easy to obtain, low cost, and can significantly reduce the project cost. After calculation, the cost of desert sand unburned bricks is about 0.4 yuan/block, which is more than 30% lower than that purchased from local external brick factories.

  • High strength, durability and excellent performance

The average compressive strength of the product can reach 15MPa, with good durability, which fully meets the needs of the strength grade of the project in desert areas, and can be widely used in various masonry projects and cable sand cover bricks in Shage barren areas, improve the construction efficiency of photovoltaic cable pavement in desert areas, and ensure the safety and stability of the project.

Xinjiang Zhonglvdian Midong Photovoltaic Project is a long and narrow shape from north to south, covering an area of about 112,500 mu, about 7 kilometers from east to west, and 29 kilometers from north to south. The project construction scale is 2GW centralized photovoltaic, with a total of about 3.892 million photovoltaic modules and about 140,000 photovoltaic strings, and the project construction content mainly includes civil engineering, electrical engineering, 220kV collection station, production complex, road engineering and other supporting facilities. After the completion of the project, it will improve the power supply structure of Xinjiang, alleviate the contradiction between local power supply and demand, promote local economic and social development, and build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system for the country.
