As early as the winter of 2022, "Wing Chun" became associated with Pingshan and started the last creation and synthesis work before its official release. In more than 20 days of creation and rehearsal, the new production of this Chinese dance drama is being polished here in the most complete way. In December 2022, Pingshan Grand Theatre took the lead in witnessing the stage synthesis of "Wing Chun".
The 2024 dance drama "Wing Chun" follows the original agreement, and once again returns to the Pingshan Grand Theater in Shenzhen, returning to Pingshan, the place where it was originally polished and synthesized.
The dance drama "Wing Chun" is a blockbuster work of "Gemini" directors Han Zhen and Zhou Liya after the "hit" dance drama "The Eternal Wave" and the dance poetry drama "Only This Green". Since its premiere in 2022, we have been "chasing" the light all the way, so far, 38 cities, 180 performances, every time we meet, it is like a reunion of old friends.
Produced in Shenzhen, Pingshan Synthesized, in March 2023, the dance drama "Wing Chun" greeted thousands of expectations, officially starting from Shenzhen, going to the whole country and going to the world, debuting on the stage of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in April, making a stunning appearance in Singapore in September, and coming to Hong Kong at the beginning of the new year, performing 5 consecutive performances.
In August 2024, the dance drama Wing Chun will be performed for the first time at the Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, UK, with a total of 12 performances. The performance is jointly operated by Beijing Poly Theater Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Jiuwei Culture Media Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Poly Theater Performance Management Co., Ltd.
After the performance in the UK, the dance drama "Wing Chun" will also go to France and Russia from October to November to show the world the sassy and heroic posture and timeless charm of Chinese civilization and the spirit of traditional Chinese culture on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, the Sino-French Year of Tourism and Culture, and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
