According to Jorrit Pilaar, Sales Manager at Damen Yachts, the sale of the Solaia in October 2021 and the early intervention of the owner allowed the yacht to achieve a number of customisation features. ”

The superyacht's exterior was designed by renowned yacht designer Espen Øino with custom charcoal and a white superstructure with the collection's signature geometric windows, while lengthening the sun deck and bridge deck. The interior is designed by OLT Design Company, and every detail embodies the ingenuity of the designers. The ship works are also designed by Damen Yachts to ensure the comfort and safety of the yacht.

The Italian word for "Solaia" means "the place where the sun's rays radiate", and the yacht's interior design aptly reflects this meaning, with the designers drawing inspiration from nature to subtly recreate the stunning Tuscan landscape with "rich russet" and "graphite".

Exuding timeless elegance, the "Solaia" features carefully selected finishes such as eucalyptus, Macassar ebony and Tanganyika finishes complemented by natural stones such as agate, Calacat marble, Cipolino marble and Nero Marquina marble, and the details of brass and chrome alloys are complemented by warm ochre leathers to create an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury.

In terms of accommodation, the "Solaia" also lives up to expectations. Accommodating up to 12 distinguished guests and 13 professional crew members, she offers the owner a spacious and comfortable master suite, full width ensuite and walk-in closet. One of the highlights is the Bridge Deck Salon, which offers a piano, bar and cinema.

It is worth mentioning that "Solaia" has the largest sun deck in the size range, with an area of up to 162 square meters. Amenities include a Jacuzzi with swim jets for up to six guests, a shaded dining area, a bar, an outdoor kitchen and a barbecue grill. A variety of entertainment activities are provided for guests. The beach club, on the other hand, is equipped with a swimming platform, sauna and steam shower, making for a beachside holiday. In addition, the yacht has ample storage space and can accommodate annex boats up to 9 meters in length.

Tetiana Oliniyk, Founder and Chief Naval Architect at OLT Design, said: "The Solaia will always be one of our most cherished projects. When designing the interior of the Amels 60, we aimed to create a comfortable home on the water that would create an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury. It has been a privilege to work with Amels and their team, and their unwavering commitment to excellence is truly inspiring. I would also like to commend my team for their creativity, innovative vision, and meticulous attention to detail. The more than three years spent customizing the interior of this yacht has been an incredible experience for us. ”

"We thank our customers for the trust they have placed in us and I hope that our investment in this yacht will ensure that this boat will be welcomed for many years to come."

In terms of performance, the "Solaia" also performed well. She is equipped with AMELS' most advanced hybrid propulsion system to date, which not only reduces fuel consumption and emissions, but also protects the life of the generator and main engine. The application of this innovative technology is not only a testament to Damen Yachts' commitment to environmental protection, but also to its commitment to technological innovation.

Amels currently has 11 yachts under construction, including the 80-metre Zurich project.

In addition, the shipyard recently published the first interior renderings of the Tanzanite project. At 120 metres long, this yacht is the largest project currently built in the Netherlands and, once delivered, will be the largest Dutch-built motorized pleasure boat in the world, which will undoubtedly set a new benchmark in the yachting industry.
