At 15 o'clock on June 30, the cross-river passage from Shenzhen to Zhongshan, a major national project, was officially opened for trial operation. At about 15 o'clock on July 1, the reporter learned from the Guangdong Provincial Transportation Group that 24 hours after the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, a total of 125,000 vehicles passed through Zhongshan and Shenzhen.
Among them, as of 24 o'clock on the opening day, the traffic volume was 64,000, and as of 8 o'clock in the morning on July 1, the traffic volume has reached 80,000 vehicles.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is the core transportation hub project for the construction of a comprehensive transportation system in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As the key "horizontal" of the "A" shaped transportation network framework around the Pearl River Estuary, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor crosses the Lingding Ocean, allowing the two major urban agglomerations of "Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou" and "Zhuzhongjiang" on the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary to achieve cross-sea direct connection. The driving time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan has been shortened from about 2 hours to about 30 minutes, and the two places have joined hands to enter the "half-hour economic life circle".
The toll standard for all vehicles in the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is 66 yuan per standard train.
Guangdong Communications Group reminds the majority of car owners: the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor integrates expressways, bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater interconnections, and the traffic conditions and environment are more complex. In order to ensure the safety of traffic, with the consent of relevant departments of transportation and public security, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor implements a full-time ban on dangerous goods transport vehicles; During the trial operation of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, temporary traffic control measures will be taken to prohibit the passage of four or more types of trucks (including all large transport vehicles) at all times.
When traveling, please strictly abide by traffic laws and regulations, plan the driving route in advance, drive safely and civilly, especially when passing through long downhill and tunnel sections, pay attention to controlling the speed and keeping a safe distance, so as to make the journey safer and smoother.
