She is Zhao Hongxia, deputy section chief of the Municipal Public Service Center in Chengbei District, Xining City, an ordinary female cleaner.

It serves the public 24 hours a day, all year round

Zhao Hongxia was born in 1966 in Xingyang City, Henan Province, and went to Qinghai with her parents to make a living in 1980, and soon after, her parents returned to their hometown because they could not adapt to the plateau climate due to illness. After their parents left, Zhao Hongxia and her young brother and sister left 4 people to rely on each other in Xining. In order to maintain her life, Zhao Hongxia was forced to drop out of school, at that time, Zhao Hongxia's family lived in the doorway of other people's homes, "Once, I had a cold and fever, I did not eat for four days, the leaders of the municipal party committee and municipal government learned about the situation of my family during the work investigation, helped me get through the difficulties, since then 'gratitude' and 'dedication' are always in my mind, which is also the reason why I have used my words and deeds to repay the party and the society in the past 30 years." Talking about her past, Zhao Hongxia choked up several times.

Shortly after Zhao Hongxia's illness was cured, the sanitation center openly recruited workers, and she signed up without thinking, and since then, she has become a sanitation worker.

When she first started working, Zhao Hongxia was assigned to the cleaning team, and in 1996, due to the needs of her work, she was transferred from the cleaning team to the service section of the Urban Management Bureau and became a female cleaning worker.

At the beginning of the face of large fecal suction trucks, the work site was full of male comrades, and Zhao Hongxia could only be a starter, "There is only one word to feel - dirty!" It's so dirty! After an assignment, I couldn't breathe for a long time, and I couldn't eat food. When encountering complex faults, it had to be handled by manual pits, and the stench in the pit was suffocating and unbearable..." After entering the service section, Zhao Hongxia experienced various discomforts for the first time with the team.

"To do a line, you have to love a line!" After experiencing the first sleepless night since work, Zhao Hongxia set a goal for herself: "To do it, you must become the benchmark of this industry!" In the following days, the comrades poured the rod and she lifted the pipe, and the masters went down the pit and she also went down the well, and gradually Zhao Hongxia really liked this job.

During the reporter's interview, a septic tank in the city was blocked, and after receiving the fault phone call, Zhao Hongxia immediately called the colleagues of the cleaning team to arrange work, and agreed to meet at the work site. At the site of the fault, the four cleaning team members had just arrived at the scene, and the fecal suction truck was already in place. Zhao Hongxia changed into overalls, wrapped a flower scarf around her head, and immediately led the cleaning team members to work.

In the clearance team, Zhao Hongxia is the only woman and the captain, and those male colleagues admire and respect her, not only regard her as a big sister, but also as an example.

A few long iron hooks and a fecal suction truck were their tools. These seemingly simple tools are a technical task to use. The cleaning work is not only dirty and smelly, but also pay attention to technology, if you are not familiar with the structure of the septic tank, the pipeline line, even if the most advanced tools are handed over to the hands is useless. But Zhao Hongxia and her colleagues only need to open the manhole cover and take a look to know where the problem is and where to start.

Zhao Hongxia and her colleagues opened the manhole cover, and a foul smell came to their noses, and they had become accustomed to the pungent smell. After observing for a while, they found the problem, slid back and forth at the interface of the pipe with an iron hook, and fished out a lot of garbage that had been knotted, and after the whole pipeline was cleaned, they sucked it with a fecal suction truck, and the sewage flowed freely.

"This sort of cleaning is done at least four or five times a day, sometimes a dozen times." Zhao Hongxia said, "Because the clearance team has made a commitment to the citizens of Xining, it will serve 24 hours a day throughout the year." As long as there is a malfunction, at any time, we must rush to the scene at the first time to solve problems for the masses. ”

"Since I was a cleaner, I've always had two beds in my home, one for me to sleep when I came back from work so tired that I didn't have time to take a shower, and the other was the 'comfort nest' where I took a shower and slept after work." Zhao Hongxia said with a smile.

Do the cleaning work that the party and the people need

Sewer clearers are the dredgers of urban "blood vessels", and Zhao Hongxia and her colleagues have exchanged their hard work for the smooth flow of urban "blood vessels".

When precipitation increases during the flood season, some roads in our city will have the problem of "difficult drainage and more water", which seriously affects the lives of surrounding residents. At the end of July 2010, the family home of no. 10 Road and Bridge Company in Chengbei District, Qaidam Road, was flooded due to the flooding of the rainy season, Zhao Hongxia rushed to the resident's home at the first time with the cleaning staff of the department, in the case of water to the waist, Zhao Hongxia still did not change the color, personally went into the water to help residents dredge and drain the "flood", and the damage to the residents' houses will be minimized. Afterwards, the residents shook Zhao Hongxia's hand and said gratefully: "Chief Zhao, thank you, my home is still there, everything in the family is still there!" ”

With the gradual strengthening of urban fine management, the importance of sanitation work has become increasingly prominent, and sanitation posts have become a stage for innovators to show their skills.

Zhao Hongxia carried forward the spirit of creativity, repeated practice with her co-workers, explored and developed, and completely changed the traditional cleaning operation mode, from the beginning of the big and bulky "three-claw" tool, to now the self-developed two-claw, horse spoon, bent crawler, straight crawler, bent shovel, iron shovel, bent "big belly woman" nearly 10 kinds of tools. The water level meter of the sewage suction vehicle is changed from the original opaque to transparent, in order to extend the service life of the pump, the valve is installed on the sewage suction vehicle, and only 100,000 yuan is saved in the use of the pump every year... Through the technical improvements such as cutting "tofu", cutting crosses, cutting blocks, and clever smoking, the septic tank that originally took a week to clean up can be solved in only two or three hours.

Through years of experience accumulation, Zhao Hongxia is very familiar with the layout and structure of the sewer pipe network in residential areas, and has many ideas and suggestions for the treatment of septic tank sewage, she proposed and participated in the formulation of "Ideas on Preparing for the Preparation of Septic Tank Sewage Purification and Utilization", "Talking about the Professional Management and Development of Urbanized Septic Tanks", "Building Sanitation Workers' Lounges", "Paying Attention to The Wages and Treatment of Sanitation Workers" and other suggestions and programs, which have received the attention and support of the government.

From an ordinary sweeper to a cleaning worker, to the current chief of the service section of the Municipal Public Service Center in Chengbei District, no matter when or what happens, every time at the work site, Zhao Hongxia is personally involved.
