Recently, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology released the 2023 Hunan Provincial Science Base Filing, Cultivation and Cancellation List Publicity, among which, the "Hunan Provincial Science Popularization Base of Ceramic Art" declared by Hunan Ceramic Research Institute Co., Ltd. was successfully approved as a provincial science popularization base.
It is understood that the provincial science popularization base is an important position to disseminate and popularize scientific knowledge to the public, publicize and display the achievements of scientific and technological innovation, improve the scientific quality of citizens, and provide public science popularization services.
The Hunan Provincial Science Popularization Base of Ceramic Art was first established in 2011, and was once known as "Hunan Provincial Ceramic Research Institute Science Popularization Base" and "Ceramics Hunan Science Popularization Base". In 2020, the city will upgrade the Hunan Provincial Ceramic Research Institute as a whole, and set up three major business sectors: public research and development, industrial services, and cultural display, which not only have the inheritance and development of traditional ceramics, but also the development and innovation of advanced ceramics, and stimulate the "old assets" to "new kinetic energy".
Relying on the profound ceramic cultural heritage, the Hunan Provincial Ceramic Research Institute has introduced 28 national and provincial ceramic artists to open master studios, combined with the industrial design center and the underglaze colored porcelain pilot workshop, and through the organization of expert lectures, interactive experiences, scientific and technological quality months and other forms of activities, to popularize ceramic science knowledge and disseminate ceramic culture to the public.
