1. Realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the historical mission of the Communist Party of China
The Chinese nation is a great nation in the world, has created a brilliant civilization, and has been at the forefront of the world for a long time in history, but in modern times, it has fallen behind for various reasons. The industrious and brave Chinese people are not willing to be left behind, and countless people with lofty ideals have "forged great strength with patriotism and taken saving the country as their own responsibility" to save the nation from danger and write an immortal chapter in history.
In the more than 5,000 years of civilization development, the Chinese nation has created a long and splendid Chinese civilization. Among the four ancient civilizations in the world, only the Chinese civilization has a national history that has been passed down to this day. Our ancestors invented papermaking, gunpowder, printing, and the compass, and created fruitful results in many fields such as astronomy, arithmetic, medicine, and agriculture, and contributed countless scientific and technological innovations to the world, and had a far-reaching impact on the progress of world civilization. Before the 16th century, there were about 300 major scientific and technological inventions that affected human life, of which 175 were inventions made by Chinese. The Englishman Joseph Needham wrote in "The History of Science and Technology in China" that "more than ten centuries before the advent of modern science and technology, China's accumulation of science and technology and knowledge was far superior to that of the West." In the history of China, the rule of Wenjing, the rule of Zhenguan, and the prosperous era of Kangqian have successively appeared, demonstrating the prosperity of economic and cultural development and the broad wisdom of China's social governance.
After the Opium War in 1840, due to the invasion of Western powers and the corruption of feudal rule, China gradually became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. Since then, realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has become the greatest dream of the Chinese nation; Striving for national independence and the people's liberation and realizing the prosperity and strength of the country and the happiness of the people have become the historical tasks of the Chinese people. Although the Xinhai Revolution led by Sun Yat-sen overthrew the feudal imperial system that lasted for more than 2,000 years, it did not change the social nature of old China and the tragic fate of the people. At the beginning of the 20th century, bourgeois party politics emerged in China, with more than 300 large and small political parties and political groups appearing in Beijing, Shanghai and other places, but they soon disappeared from the Chinese political scene. The history of modern China shows that neither the old-style peasant revolution nor the weak bourgeois revolution can accomplish the historical task of saving the Chinese nation and fighting imperialism and feudalism, still less can it undertake the historical mission of realizing national rejuvenation. China urgently needs new ideas to lead the salvation movement, and it urgently needs new organizations to unite revolutionary forces.

2. Chinese-style modernization is the only correct path for building a strong country and rejuvenating the nation
To achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the issue of roads is of great importance. The history of the Communist Party of China uniting and leading the Chinese people to pursue national rejuvenation is also a history of constantly exploring the road to modernization. Through the unremitting efforts of several generations, we have embarked on a Chinese-style modernization path suited to our national conditions.
Modernization is a conspicuous sign of the development and progress of human civilization. Realizing modernization is the common pursuit of the people of all countries in the world, and it is also the unremitting pursuit of the Chinese people since modern times. The diversity of historical conditions determines the diversity of development paths chosen by various countries. Different countries and regions have their own unique modernization paths, rooted in a rich and diverse civilization heritage. Since the process of world modernization began with Western capitalist countries, and because the developed countries in the world today are mainly European and American countries and capitalist countries that are deeply influenced by Western civilization, this gives people the illusion that modernization is Westernization and Western civilization is modern civilization. As everyone knows, although the capitalist system and the Western modernization model are constantly evolving, the nature of capital supremacy, the law of the jungle, polarization, and hegemony has not undergone any essential changes, and its drawbacks have become more and more obvious. As General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Modernization is not a 'patent' of a few countries, nor is it an either/or 'multiple-choice question'. When a country moves toward modernization, it must not only follow the general laws of modernization, but also base itself on its own national conditions and have its own characteristics", "Chinese-style modernization has the common characteristics of the modernization of all countries, and it also has distinctive characteristics based on its own national conditions", "Chinese-style modernization is the answer we have given to the major historical topic of how to awaken the 'sleeping lion' and realize national rejuvenation".
In the old China, which was a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, it was simply impossible to achieve modernization. The founding of New China and the establishment of the socialist system have created fundamental social conditions for the realization of modernization and laid a fundamental political premise and institutional foundation. In the early days after the founding of New China, in order to change the backward level of industrialization on the mainland as soon as possible, our party clearly proposed to strive to build the mainland into a powerful socialist country with modern agriculture, modern industry, modern national defense, and modern science and technology. After the implementation of several five-year plans, the mainland has established an independent and relatively complete industrial system and a national economic system. Our party has continuously improved its strategy, clarified the overall layout of the "five-in-one" and the "four comprehensive" strategic layout, and thoroughly implemented a series of major strategies such as the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, the strategy of strengthening the country with talents, and the strategy of rural revitalization, so as to provide solid strategic support for Chinese-style modernization.
