The Banan high-speed rail line starts from the newly built Bazhong East Station, passes through Bazhong City and Nanchong City to the west, and connects to Nanchong North Station. The total length of the line is 149 kilometers, the design speed is 250 kilometers per hour, and there are 6 stations on the whole line, namely Bazhong East Station, Bazhong West Station, Ma'an Station, Yilong Station, Peng'an West Station and Nanchong North Station, of which Nanchong North Station is an existing station, and the rest is a new station.

The opening and operation of the Banan high-speed railway is of great significance for improving the intercity railway network in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, accelerating the development of tourism resources along the line, promoting the economic and social development of the areas along the line, and accelerating the development of the old revolutionary base area in northeast Sichuan.
Located in Bazhong City, the East Bazhong Railway Station on Qinba Avenue in the Economic Development Zone of Bazhong City is a station building in the shape of a red leaf forest, showing strong local cultural characteristics and a beautiful scenery line along the Banan high-speed railway.
On the day of the opening of the Banan high-speed railway, the square in front of the station was surrounded by local citizens, who hoped to witness the first launch of this "red road" and feel the convenience brought by the high-speed rail.
In the early days of the opening and operation of the Banan high-speed railway, the railway department organized 20 trains, including 10 trains from Chengdu East to Badong East, 2 trains from Chengdu East to Yilong, 6 trains from Chongqing West (Chongqing North) to Bazhong East, and 2 trains from Xichang West to Bazhong East China.
"The streamlined white body, spacious and comfortable seats, clean and tidy luggage racks, as well as professional and enthusiastic flight attendants, face changing, tea ceremony, songs and dances and other colorful programs, this train has brought me too many surprises." Tian Qingyun, a passenger who took the first train of D5133, said happily.
On the D5133 train, the first team of the intercity EMU of the Chengdu passenger section will also send a small card of safe travel tips to the passengers, covering the timetable of the Banan high-speed rail EMU train, the information of many famous tourist attractions along the line, such as Guangwu Mountain, Enyang Ancient Town, Linlang Mountain, Zhu De's hometown, Zhang Side Memorial Hall, etc., as well as precautions for travel.
At 11:26, the D5133 first train arrived at Chengdu East Railway Station on time, and the passengers happily stepped off the train to share the joy of taking the first train of Banan high-speed railway.
