On June 30, the Qinling Legend 2024 Danjiang Open Water Swimming Challenge was held in Shangluo City, with more than 1,000 swimmers from all over the country hitting the water wave after wave and performing "Fast and Furious".
The Danjiang River waters in Shangluo City are abundant, the water flow is clear, and the superior natural resource conditions are ideal places for carrying the coordinated development of cultural tourism, sports, leisure and sports and other industries and carrying out water activities. It is understood that this event, as one of the "Legend of Qinling" series of theme events, settled in Shangluo for the first time. The event was hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau and the Shangluo Municipal People's Government.
The event sets up two groups: competition group (1500 meters) and free swimming group (800 meters), of which the competition group is divided into 4 groups from A to D according to gender and age group, and the free swimming group is unified into group E. The more than 1,000 "swimmers" participating in the competition span three generations, so that players at different stages can show their personal style.
At 9 o'clock in the morning, as the starting signal sounded, the contestants jumped into the "natural pool" of the Danjiang River, splitting the green screen-like river surface and stirring up layers of waves. On that day, the sun was shining brightly, and the water temperature on the river was about 26 degrees Celsius, which was conducive to the performance of the contestants. On this stage where natural beauty and strength are intertwined, the athletes staged the vigorous posture of "white stripes in the waves", and the crowd watching along the way applauded and cheered for them.

Shao Chenheng, a swimmer from the Baoji Swimming Association, performed particularly well in the 1500m race group (men's group C), and at the age of 18, he won the first place with a time of 21:10.71. ”
In the 800-meter swimming group, the overall strength of the Shangzhou District Swimming Sports Association performed well, and the team composed of 32 people successfully completed the competition and won the third place in the swimming group (group total score). Captain Li Dandong told reporters: "We are very proud to achieve good results in the competition in our hometown. I hope that there will be more such competitions in the future, so that everyone can participate in swimming and enjoy a healthy life. ”
