Jiaxing Station is located in the center of the city, with convenient transportation and close to the people.
It is the big station of the ancient Shanghai-Hangzhou railway, southern China and many large cities in the west, the green car to Shanghai must stop here, there are as many as 90 trains passing through every day (check the railway 123), you go to Shanghai or Hangzhou, almost an hour has two trips.
In the early years, when the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway was built, the railway turned westward and passed through the southeast of the old city of Jiaxing.
Several negotiations had to be moved out, which was good for both train speed and urban planning. But this time, the old station was renovated, and it seems to have been fixed. It is very convenient for Jiaxing citizens to travel to Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Jiaxing has not changed, but Shanghai may change.
In the future, Songjiang Station will become another railway hub in Shanghai, and the southbound green cars will be the terminal here. The green car from Jiaxing to Shanghai will take a shorter time on the road, but it will take some time to enter the downtown area of Shanghai.
This is the planning and layout of Shanghai due to the needs of urban development. At present, high-speed rail is developing more and more, and Shanghai has a high-speed rail station in Hongqiao, which is not in line with the development of this megacity. It is a wise choice to divert the southbound high-speed railway to Songjiang Station. High-speed and general speed are gathered here, and this station will be very large.
There are so many trains in Jiaxing, but it is still unswervingly building intercity rail transit, and the terminal station to Shanghai is also Songjiang.
