On July 1, the Siziwangqi Wind and Solar Hydrogen Storage and Ammonia Integration Demonstration Project - Synthetic Green Ammonia Construction Project was launched in Durbert Chemical Park, taking a solid step towards the development of new energy industry and zero-carbon fuel manufacturing.

Relying on the advantages of Siziwangqi's natural wind and solar resources, the project strives to build a new energy industrial system integrating power generation, consumption, energy storage and application. The project is divided into two parts: wind, solar and hydrogen production integration and synthetic green ammonia, with a total investment of 18.9 billion yuan. Among them, the wind and solar hydrogen production integration project will build 1.25 million kilowatts of wind power.

With an investment of 1.8 billion yuan, the project is constructed in three phases, using domestic advanced ammonia synthesis technology, using green electricity generated by upstream wind farms as energy, configuring water electrolysis hydrogen production devices to produce hydrogen, configuring corresponding air separation units to produce nitrogen, and then synthesizing hydrogen and nitrogen into green ammonia, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons.

After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual green power generation capacity will be about 6.3 billion kWh, which can save 1.339 million tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 6.3278 million tons, and is expected to produce 90,000 tons of green hydrogen and 500,000 tons of green ammonia per year.
