Recently, 60,000 gerberas were opened in the greenhouse of Lv'an Agricultural Planting Base in Panyang Village, Da'an Township, and the villagers were busy picking, transporting, and sorting and packaging different kinds of gerberas.
"The village has been strongly supporting us in developing the characteristic flower industry, helping us to transfer more than 20 acres of land." Jin Limei, the person in charge of the base, said that after a full investigation in Yunnan and Fujian, they introduced 60,000 high-quality gerbera seedlings from Qingliu County, Sanming City, and planted them while learning. In recent years, the cultivation technology of gerbera in the base has become mature, with an annual output value of more than 700,000 yuan.
It is understood that gerbera is a daisy ornamental plant, which is a "wild flower" in the flower market and has a large market demand. "The soil and climate in Panyang Village are very suitable for growing gerberas, which can be picked in all seasons," says Jin. Now, according to the market demand, we pick every other day, ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 pieces each time. ”
Since the establishment of the base, there are 8 villagers who work in the base all the year round, most of whom are idle old people, with an average age of 60 years old, forming a working model of "busy farming, farming and idle work" to help the masses increase their income and get rich.
At present, the gerbera sales market of the base is mainly in Fuding, covering Jiaocheng, Shouning, Taishun and other cities and counties.
"In the next step, we will continue to open up new markets, increase flower planting varieties, and strengthen technical exchanges with advanced developed regions, improve the planting level, and promote the healthy development of the base. In the future, the amount of labor in the base will also increase, and the villagers are rich, and they are really rich! Jin Limei said with confidence.
