Located at No. 1 Hanzhong Road, southwest corner of Xinjiekou, it was built in 1935 in a neo-nationalist style, with significant modernist characteristics in some parts and a particularly magnificent façade. The front building is six storeys high, and the podium is four storeys high, and it was the tallest building in Xinjiekou at that time with the nearby Fuchang Hotel. At the end of 1946, the headquarters of the Postal Savings Bureau was moved from Shanghai to Beijing, and this building became the center of the country's postal savings industry.
