On the bank of the Dongsha River in the southeast of Zhaojialou Rite Garden, there is a Qing Dynasty dwelling with seven bays and two compartments, and the house name is "Ning Jian Tang". In the center of the front wall is a masonry and wood door. There were originally four brick carvings on the south side of the Yimen, and there were four drama brick carvings on the north side. However, they were dug up and smashed in the storm of the "Cultural Revolution" in the 60s of the 20th century. This was once the residence of Xi Yanzi.

Xi Yanzi, born in 1876, the word Liannong, the number Shengbai, alias Jiangnan Yanzi. When he was a child, he entered the family hall for the famous educator Qin Xitian. and long, living in Shanghai. When he was 7 years old, his father died as an orphan, and his mother was more than 30 years old. He is generous and willing to give by nature, and when he sees people cold, he unravels the fox fur to warm them; When he sees that people are hungry, he cooks food to fill them. He couldn't listen to the bitter things of the poor and the down-and-out beauties, and when he heard it, he burst into tears and his clothes were wet and red.

Xi Yanzi, who is full of bookish spirit, lives in a ten-mile foreign field full of lights, faces the breeding and spreading trend of private newspapers and periodicals, sees the world of talent and the opportunity to realize his dreams, and he is full of ambition to meet his goal.
The Shanghai apartment of Confucianism and Yang Guyu is the starting point of the swallow's dream. There, he learned poetry, calligraphy and painting from Mr. Yang, and at the same time joined the Rite Yin Society, which he founded and was the president. The word "Lize" comes from Yang Xiong's sentence "The poet's Fu Lize". Mr. Yang took Lize as the name of the company, which was intended to hope that the members of the club would write beautiful and elegant poetry articles. The Lize Yin Society is one of the earliest literary societies in Shanghai. More than 40 members are talented and ambitious scholars. After the establishment of the Yinshe, the social newspaper "National Soul Daily", which was founded by Qi Fanniu and Xi Yanzi, was published in April 1908.

The newspaper also published folk literary and artistic works such as xuanjuan, minor tunes, mountain songs, poems and bells, and couplets. In addition, there is a small sub-page "Shadow of the Dusty Sky" with columns such as "Pink and Ink Marks", "Fengyue Talk", "Fashionable Words", "Harmonious Theory" and "Biography of Famous Prostitutes", which is attached with the newspaper. From May 2023, the District CPPCC Office, the District Education Bureau, the Youth League Committee and the District Financial Media Center jointly launched a series of book reading activities called "Discover the Beauty of Minhang", and successively invited young people from many schools in Minhang District to read good books, be good at reading, understand history, and love their hometown, and work together to promote the implementation of the "Min Market" reading activities.

The land where Pujiang Zhaojialou is located is the origin of Shanghai's farming culture, so "Full Moon Zhaojialou" naturally not only writes about this building, but also the people and things on the land of Pujiang Town, historical evolution, and changes. Nowadays, the heavy book of Zhaojialou has turned a heavy page, the historical buildings here have been restored and rebuilt, become a famous tourist attraction in Shanghai, and become the epitome of the prosperity of Pujiang Town, some of the former customs have been annihilated, faded out of people's field of vision, and some still exist, and full of vitality. Today, we have gathered some of these vivid stories here for the purpose of spreading them to future generations.
