On the morning of July 1, the welcome ceremony of the 2024 Songshan Lake "100 Schools and 1000 Talents" Internship Program and the "YPTP Program" was held in Songshan Lake Innovation and Technology Park. Next, internship groups from Tsinghua University and Wuhan University will come to Songshan Lake one after another.
The first batch of 13 interns, from different majors such as Marxist theory (party building), electronic information, sports, law, Chinese language and philology, Japanese, journalism and communication, world history, etc., will carry out a four-week study and practice in different departments such as Songshan Lake Party Building Work Office, Coordination and Development Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Natural Resources Bureau, Urban Construction Bureau, Publicity, Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and Social Affairs Bureau.
"This is my first time in Guangdong, and I found that it is not as hot as I imagined, and the climate is more pleasant. Songshan Lake is different from my hometown Heilongjiang in terms of policy and management, and I hope to learn more in practice and make some contributions to Songshan Lake. Chen Yuxin, a master's student in Chinese language and philology at Peking University, said.
At the welcome ceremony, the interns introduced themselves on their internship expectations, professional background, growth experience, etc., and the representatives of each employing department introduced the key work content of the department in turn, helping college students to better adapt to the new environment and integrate into the government working atmosphere, and encouraging young talents to put forward innovative and constructive suggestions in their work.
The relevant person in charge of the Party Building Work Office of Songshan Lake gave a detailed introduction to the development of Songshan Lake in terms of scientific and technological innovation, talent policy, urban support, etc., and said that Songshan Lake Science City, as a pilot start-up area of a comprehensive national science center in the Greater Bay Area, is a major platform for Dongguan to participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing a broader world and unprecedented opportunities for the majority of young people to grow and become talents in Songshan Lake.

It is reported that the "Dongguan Songshan Lake Youth Development Planning Project Research" jointly carried out by Songshan Lake and Guangdong Provincial Youth League School has achieved phased results. The "Dongguan Songshan Lake Youth Development Plan (2024-2028)" will be released soon, which will improve the Songshan Lake youth growth and development work system, service system and guarantee system from multiple dimensions and levels from the perspective of "introduction, education and retention".
