Toyota will reportedly revise the lineup of the 2025 Supra and said it will stop selling the four-cylinder version. Previously, Toyota resurrected the Supra with a six-cylinder engine in 2019, and two years later, the company launched an entry-level four-cylinder model. Not long ago, the relevant person in charge of the brand also further confirmed the news, and its entry-level Supra will be discontinued in just three years.
It is reported that the Toyota Supra is the brand's best-selling car in 2023, with only 2,652 units sold. While Toyota doesn't break down Supra's sales by trim or engine, we can imagine the four-cylinder model being the slower-moving of the two.
Toyota's 2024 Supra 2.0 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces 255 hp and 400 Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that accelerates 0-96 km/h in about 5 seconds.
Today, the new Supra range only includes six-cylinder models, and the 2025 Toyota Supra is available in 3.0 and 3.0 Premium interiors, and its turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine still produces 382 hp and 770 Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission, with a 0-96 km/h acceleration time of around 3.9 seconds for the automatic transmission version and around 4.2 seconds for the manual transmission version.
In addition, new car prices will also increase, with the Toyota 2025 Supra starting at $57,335, which is $840 more than the 2024 model, while the Toyota 2025 Supra 3.0 Premium is priced at $60,495.
