In the village of Golden Goose in Deqing County, Huzhou, Zhejiang, there lives a 58-year-old man named Pan Jianhua. He was originally just an ordinary painter, but now he has become a trainee at the China Academy of Art with a paintbrush in his hand, and has realized a gorgeous transformation from a paint brush to an art palace.

Pan Jianhua, a thin but powerful figure, stepped into the decoration industry at the age of 16 and followed his cousin to learn the art of painting. With more than 40 years as a painter, he has formed an indissoluble bond with painting. In those days, he painted lacquer paintings such as "Three Pools and the Moon" and "Six Harmony Pagoda" on the railing of an old-fashioned wooden bed, and also depicted plums, orchids, bamboos, and chrysanthemums on erasers, which not only exercised his painting skills, but also cultivated his love for painting.

With the changes of the times, the old-fashioned wooden bed gradually withdrew from the stage of history, but Pan Jianhua did not give up this hobby. He picked up pen and paper and continued to paint, looking for his own artistic path. At Deqing University for the Elderly, he met Huang Jian, a teacher of Chinese painting, and his encouragement and help made him more determined to pursue his dream of painting.

After a year and a half of study, Pan Jianhua mustered up the courage to sign up for the seminar at the China Academy of Art. It took him two days to meticulously paint four works and successfully received an acceptance letter for the Gome Seminar. At that moment, he was thrilled and felt lucky to have such an opportunity.

In the process of studying at the China Academy of Art, Pan Jianhua felt unprecedented challenges and opportunities. He studied with many professional painters, discussed painting knowledge with each other, and constantly improved his painting skills. His painting path is like a pair of "wings", flying higher and higher, and farther and farther.

Today, Pan Jianhua not only has his own studio, but also people often come to him to learn painting. He is willing to pass on his skills to others, and hopes that through his own efforts, more people will fall in love with traditional Chinese painting and enrich their cultural life.

When it comes to the future, Pan Jianhua said that although he is old and will no longer be a painter, he will continue to paint and pass on his skills. He said: "Age is never a problem, as long as you have a dream in your heart, you have to be brave to chase it." I'll keep drawing until I can't move. ”
