The 25-year-old young woman lives on the 4th floor of an apartment building in the town of Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, according to Fanpage.
At around 7 a.m. today, the woman's parents tried to call their daughter's mobile phone when they found that they were not at home, only to hear the phone ringing from the elevator shaft.
After receiving the alarm, local rescuers rushed to the scene as soon as possible to rescue the woman trapped in the elevator shaft, but there were no signs of life.
After a preliminary investigation, the woman was either preparing to go downstairs at night. When the elevator doors opened, she subconsciously walked inside.
However, the elevator car did not go up, but stayed on the first floor. The woman stepped over the elevator door and stepped into the air, falling 15 meters and falling heavily on the roof of the car.
