On June 24, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Zhang Jianwei met with Prince Abdullah, the new Governor of the Capital Province of Kuwait, and conducted friendly exchanges on deepening bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Zhang congratulated Abdullah on his new appointment, saying that in recent years, the China-Kuwait strategic partnership has maintained a good momentum of development and entered the best period in history. China is willing to continue to promote sister-city cooperation with the Capital Province, strengthen the exchange of administrative experience, deepen cooperation in tourism and culture, and promote more fruitful cooperation between China and Kuwait at the local level.
Abdullah said that the capital province has superior basic conditions and huge development potential, and occupies an important position in Kuwait's foreign exchanges and cooperation, and is willing to conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote exchanges and cooperation between the capital province and local provinces and cities in China, continuously enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides, and promote the development of bilateral relations.
