On July 1, 17 doctoral students from 12 departments of Tsinghua University, including the School of Marxism, the School of Health, the School of Finance, the School of Architecture, and the Department of Computer Science, arrived in Binzhou to officially start a six-week summer social practice science and technology service activity.
At the welcome ceremony held on the same day, the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau introduced the situation of Binzhou to the doctoral students of Tsinghua University, reviewed the 33-year history of cooperation between Binzhou and Tsinghua University with deep affection, and hoped that the doctoral students would take Binzhou as a new classroom, display their talents and wisdom, and have thoughts, understandings and gains in social practice, so as to truly achieve the purpose of "being educated, growing talents and making contributions".
It is reported that Binzhou is one of the first batch of university-level graduate social practice bases officially established by Tsinghua University nationwide, and as early as 1991, the two sides signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. At present, 31 batches of 707 doctoral students from Tsinghua University have been organized and arranged to participate in social practice activities in 326 enterprises and institutions in our city. Binzhou Base has been awarded the "Contribution Award", "Ten Year Contribution Award", "Advanced Award for Al-Qaida Work" and "Outstanding Contribution Award for Doctoral Students Social Practice Base of Tsinghua University". In recent years, the Binzhou base has achieved three consecutive years of star rating in the star rating of Tsinghua University's practice base.
This year, with the support of 9 units (enterprises) in our city, doctoral students of Tsinghua University will carry out research and research on 12 topics and projects, including "Binzhou Public Transport Line Optimization and Station Planning and Design", "Exploring the Process of Party Building, Leading the Construction of High-quality People's Livelihood Projects", and "Research on the Integrated Development of Binzhou Low-altitude Economy "Five Chains" and Its Countermeasures".
Ma Jiarui, a doctoral student at the International Graduate School of Tsinghua University and the captain of the Binzhou Social Practice Detachment, said that "reading thousands of books, traveling thousands of miles", Binzhou will be an important "road" in their study and life. In the big classroom of Binzhou City, doctoral students will take practice as teaching materials and work as lecturers, go deep into the front line, and actively participate in the construction and development of this beautiful city, so as to be practical-oriented and integrate knowledge and action.
It is reported that for this year's social practice activities, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau has made arrangements and deployments in advance, and various practice units have also made a lot of meticulous preparations. In the next step, all practice units will effectively strengthen the ideological education, project guidance and logistics services of doctoral students, and actively provide all convenient conditions for doctoral students to work and live during their stay in Binhai, so as to ensure the successful completion of social practice activities. At the same time, with the help of the platform of social practice, we will increase the intensity of project research, strengthen cooperation with Tsinghua University, strive to introduce more high-end talents, and give full play to the economic and social effects of Tsinghua University's doctoral students' social practice activities.
At the ceremony, the 32nd batch of Tsinghua University doctoral students social practice receiving units such as Binzhou People's Hospital, Binzhou Finance Investment Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Aeronautical University School of Economics and Management, Binzhou Weiqiao National Science and Technology Advanced Technology Research Institute, Binzhou Bus Co., Ltd. were awarded.
