Recently, Wenchong Repair & Construction, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Group, successfully completed the adaptability transformation and dock inspection of the "Huatianlong" ship, and completed the delivery of the "Bai Marin" ship ahead of schedule, which was well received by the shipowner.

On June 27, the 4,000-ton fully rotating crane ship "Huatianlong" slowly left the Wenchong repair wharf and successfully completed the adaptability transformation and dock inspection.

"Huatianlong" ship is the flagship of the crane ship of the Guangzhou Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, with a length of 175 meters, a width of 48 meters, a weight of more than 30,000 tons, a full load displacement of 80,000 tons, a maximum lifting capacity of 4,000 tons, and an auxiliary hook that can be launched for 150 meters, with its own dynamic positioning DP2.

This adaptive transformation mainly completed the new fuel consumption monitoring system, the helicopter environmental monitoring system upgrade, the replacement of the whole ship's air conditioning, the overall replacement of the main crane control room and the overall painting and renovation of the helicopter platform. At the same time, in order to carry out special inspection in advance for overseas operations, the transformation of the telescopic sliding cabin sealing strip was completed in the dock, and the installation form of the rubber strip was innovative, which was used for the first time in the industry.

The transformation and dock inspection of the "Huatianlong" ship took 21 days, Wenchong Repair organized and planned in advance, reasonably arranged the construction, efficiently completed the repair task, and delivered on schedule, at the same time, it accumulated valuable experience for Wenchong Repair in the adaptability of engineering ships.

On June 26, the "White Marin" was completed and delivered 3 days ahead of schedule.

The White Marin is a semi-submersible ship with a length of 216.7 meters, a beam of 63 meters and a depth of 13 meters. In order to ensure that all cabins can be constructed synchronously and smoothly, the four transformation areas make full use of forklifts and winches to transfer materials, which effectively avoids the logistical pressure caused by the tight use of gantry cranes and realizes the catch-up plan completed in 16 days.

There are many projects under the waterline, including the dismantling and inspection of the propeller, the transformation of the side thruster system, and the dismantling and inspection of a valve. With the joint efforts of the project team members, the dock project was completed 12 hours ahead of schedule, and the dock period was 8 hours ahead of schedule, which provided strong support for Wenchong's repair and production work.

During the repair period, the Wenchong repair project team and various engineering departments worked together to overcome the impact of continuous rainstorms, practice technology first, and actively communicate and coordinate with third parties such as maintenance, ship inspection, and service engineers, which won unanimous praise from all parties and received a letter of thanks from the shipowner.
