On July 1, the yield measurement expert group composed of technical personnel from Qingshui County Seed Station and Qingshui County Agricultural Technology Extension Station conducted on-site harvest and yield measurement of Lantian series winter wheat varieties in Qingshui County Lantian series new variety breeding base.
Walking into the field, the golden wheat waves are rolling with the wind, and the wheat ears that have entered the harvest period are large and full, and the wheat fragrance is overflowing. Not far away, a wheat combine harvester shuttles in the rolling wheat waves to ensure that the summer grain is "returned to the warehouse", and the scene is a busy harvest scene.
The experts shuttled through the fields, in strict accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs's "National Grain High Yield Creation Yield Measurement and Acceptance Measures (Trial)" in the wheat yield measurement and acceptance methods, by measuring the actual harvest area, weighing the fresh weight of grains, measuring the moisture content, and before harvesting the combine harvester for clearance inspection. The 3.47 acres of Lantian No. 37 wheat planted in the wheat breeding base of Zhuyingtaiyuan in Dongguan Village, Yongqing Town, were harvested and measured on the spot. It is estimated that Lantian No. 37 wheat is 537.1kg/mu, reaching the high yield level of wheat planting in cold and arid areas this year.
"Today, we measured the Lantian No. 37 wheat in Zhuyingtai Plateau, from the measurement just now, the yield is good, last year's sowing even rainy weather affected the sowing quality, winter and spring rainfall is less, in this case can get this yield is very good." Lu Qinglin, director of the Qingshui County Wheat Experimental Station of the Wheat Research Institute of the Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said.
It is reported that wheat yield measurement in the field is an important way to evaluate the good methods of wheat planting and estimate the yield, and it can also explore and summarize the best sowing time, sowing amount, fertilization and tillage methods of wheat, and grasp the main factors affecting wheat yield.
The popularization and application of Lantian series wheat has provided a large number of improved wheat varieties for Qingshui County. At present, Lantian wheat has more than 60% of the planting area in Qingshui County, and has become the main wheat variety for farmers to increase production and income.
