The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is powered by a plug-in hybrid V8 engine
The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is Bentley's most powerful car ever, with a twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid engine that delivers 782 PS combined, breaking the 700 hp mark. While Bentley is steadily moving towards electrification across its range, the new Continental GT still packs a 4.0-litre V8 engine into its stately hood, but the addition of an electric motor adds more power and strengthens its Grand Tourer.
With an electric range of 81 km (top speed of 140 km/h), you can move quietly around the city, and the total range has now also increased to 859 km. All these figures are a far cry from the gas-guzzling W12 engines of the past. However, model loyalists need not worry, as the new Bentley still retains its aristocratic charm and supercar-like performance, with a total power of 782 PS, a whopping 1,000 Nm of torque, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.1 seconds. Of course, all this power is transmitted through an eight-speed gearbox.

The brand is also working to improve the way it drives, injecting greater agility into the vehicle with a new dual-chamber air-spring suspension with new dual-valve shock absorbers, Bentley's Dynamic Driving System (48V Active Anti-Roll Control) and eLSD and Torque Vectoring. So, with a 49:51 rear weight distribution, we expect this new Continental GT to be both light and supple.
The silhouette remains largely unchanged and remains a signature feature of the Continental GT. Other parts have been tweaked slightly, including new headlights, with crystals to create a new "eyebrow" effect and lighting effects.
The rear styling features a slightly updated bumper design, as well as new taillights, a boot lid, and exhaust tailpipes. Finally, there are the new 22-inch wheels, which are inspired by tigers, as the design resembles the "claws" of the wheels digging into the pavement.

The interior still retains the classic Bentley old-world charm, blending high-quality materials and craftsmanship. New additions include a new quilting pattern and a 20-way adjustable seat, as well as an optional "Wellness" seat with Postural Adjust. Bentley's Mulliner division also offers a new dark chrome spec that adds a sporty feel to the cabin. If you're an audiophile, the Naim 2,200 W, 18-speaker system with active bass sensors built into the front seats is also worth the option.
While pricing and other details will be announced later this year when the launch is expected to be available, the new Continental GT Speed is expected to be available in other versions and will compete with the likes of the Aston Martin DB12 and Ferrari 12Cilindri.
