Recently, Huawei's high-performance database resource pool solution, HDBS, passed the authoritative evaluation of the Thiel Laboratory of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and passed all three evaluations: automatic deployment, high availability, and reliability. The evaluation results prove that the availability and reliability of HDBS are at the leading level in the industry, and meet the industry evaluation specifications and quality requirements.
Huawei's high-performance database resource pool solution, HDBS, relies on the in-depth collaboration mechanism between the database and storage to achieve strong bit-level data consistency, ensure that data is not lost (RPO=0) of core business systems under high load pressure, and provide a mature solution with high reliability, high performance, and ease of use and deployment for key enterprise applications. The test results prove:
- In terms of automatic deployment, the requirements of the test project were met in the tests of computing, network, and storage resource management, automatic provisioning of database instances, and on-demand capacity expansion.
- In terms of high availability, GaussDB based on Huawei OceanStor Dorado has outstanding disaster recovery performance, achieving RPO=0, RTO<120s, fast recovery of business systems, and zero data loss.
- In terms of reliability, it performs well in various fault scenarios, including switch port failures, storage controller failures, storage interface card failures, and any or three consecutive disk failures of hard disks.
The verification was carried out in accordance with the "System and Software Engineering System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) Part 51: Quality Requirements and Test Rules for Ready and Available Software Products (RUSP)" and the "Information Security Technology Information System Disaster Recovery Specification" standard, and the evaluation indicators covered 17 test items in 3 categories, focusing on verifying the performance of Huawei's high-performance database resource pool solution HDBS in terms of high availability and reliability. The results of the evaluation prove that the availability and reliability of HDBS are at the industry-leading level.
