It is understood that mobile banking ATM scanning code withdrawal is also a kind of cardless withdrawal, and its operation process is generally as follows, the bank's personal mobile banking customers use mobile banking to scan the QR code on any ATM machine in the bank, and complete the information interaction, to achieve the withdrawal operation.

Specifically, Bank of Communications will stop the appointment withdrawal service in the cardless withdrawal function of personal mobile banking from May 24. After that, customers can still withdraw money with a card, scan a QR code or go to the bank's business outlets to withdraw money through the bank's smart machines.
The Agricultural Bank of China announced that it will suspend the cardless withdrawal service from May 9. After the suspension of the above services, customers can handle cash withdrawal related business through other methods such as card reading withdrawal, palm bank scanning code withdrawal, face face withdrawal, etc.
Since May 17, China CITIC Bank has closed the cash self-service machine authorization code withdrawal function. Subsequently, users can still withdraw cash without a card (QR code withdrawal) through the bank's cash self-service equipment, or go to the bank's cash self-service equipment or business outlets with a bank card to handle cash withdrawal.
In this regard, Wang Pengbo, a senior analyst in the financial industry, believes that on the one hand, methods such as scanning code withdrawal and face withdrawal have long been implemented and are more convenient; On the other hand, from the perspective of security, there are certain potential risks due to the time difference in the appointment for withdrawal, and the inability to confirm the relationship between the payee and the account holder at the same time.
Card-not-present deposit services have also been intensively adjusted
In addition to the adjustment of the card-not-present withdrawal service, the card-not-present deposit service has also been intensively adjusted, including China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Guangfa Bank, China CITIC Bank and many other banks have previously issued announcements saying that the ATM QR code deposit function will be closed.
"Many banks have successively suspended the ATM QR code deposit function mainly for user use and security considerations." Wang Pengbo believes that most of the users who use ATM deposits and withdrawals are elderly, and this group of people is accustomed to directly using bank cards to handle related businesses, and the operation process of QR code deposit itself is relatively cumbersome, and the convenience of use is not enough.
At the same time, the ATM QR code deposit business may not be able to accurately identify the identity of the depositor, and the relationship with the payee cannot be confirmed. In addition, the concealment of the source and use of funds makes it more difficult for banks to monitor money laundering activities.
Wang Pengbo expects that banks will follow up and adjust the cardless deposit and withdrawal business in the future, and the bank deposit and withdrawal business should focus on security, while meeting the principles of identity verification and abiding by the unity of time and space.
