The latest progress of the S2 line
On June 28, with the synchronous enclosure construction of the two stations of the Wuxi section of the S2 line Mashan Station and the Yixing section of the Dongjiu Square Station, the first phase of the two stations was successfully completed, and the line construction officially entered the civil construction stage!
Project Introduction
The Wuxi-Yixing Intercity Rail Transit Project (Line S2) has a total length of about 61.48km and a total of 9 stations, including 7 underground stations and 2 elevated stations.
The first phase of the project has a total length of 26.14km and 6 stations, including 4 underground stations and 2 elevated stations: Yixing Station, Longtan Road Station, Dongjiu Square Station, University City Station, Jingkai District Station (Yixing) and Zhoutie Station.
The total length of the second phase of the project is 35.34km, including 1.317km of elevated line, 0.51km of U-shaped groove transition section, 33.51km of underground section, and 3 stations: Mashan Station, Gedaiqiao Station and Taihu New Town Station, all of which are underground stations; In addition, there are four working wells in Zhushan Lake, Meiliang Lake West, Huzhong and Meiliang Lake.

Interchangeable with several subway lines
1. The line interchanges with Metro Line 1 at Gedaiqiao Station;
2. Transfer to Metro Line 6 at Taihu New Town Station.
3. The line also reserves the transfer conditions with the Suzhou-Xichang Intercity Railway and Changzhou S2 Line.
4. With the completion of Line S2, in addition to Huishan High-speed Railway Station, Wuxi Railway Station and Wuxi Bus Station (Metro Line 1 and Line 3), Wuxi East High-speed Railway Station (Metro Line 2), Wuxi New Area High-speed Railway Station (Metro Line 3), Jiangyin High-speed Railway Station (Line S1), Yixing High-speed Railway Station (Line S2), Wuxi Shuofang Airport (Metro Line 3), to achieve urban rail transit access in the region.

At present, except for the Taihu New Town Station of Line S2, which has not been publicized before the approval of the planning and design plan of the construction project, the remaining 8 stations have been publicized.
- Yixing Station
Located below the avenue in front of the station, it is laid along the east-west avenue in front of the station, and is designed as a two-storey underground island station, with a total construction area of 21,718.93 square meters.
- Longtan Road Station
Located at the intersection of Longtan East Road and Dongjiu Avenue, it is laid in the north-south direction along the east side of Dongjiu Avenue, and is designed as an underground two-story island station, with a total construction area of 13,329.69 square meters.
- Dongjiu Square Station
It is located on the east side of Dongjiu Avenue on Dongjiu Square, parallel to the north-south direction of Dongjiu Avenue. It is designed as an underground two-story island station, with a total construction area of 17,363.6 square meters.
- University City Station
It is located at the intersection of Taihu Avenue and Xinyuan Road, and is set up from west to east at the diagonal crossing of Taihu Avenue. It is designed as a two-storey underground island station, with a total construction area of 18,025.62 square meters.
- Jingkai District Station (Yixing)
Located on the southwest side of the intersection of Fan Li Avenue and Baihe Avenue, it is laid along the north-south direction of Fan Li Avenue, and is designed as a two-storey side station on the ground, with a total construction area of 7982.53 square meters.
- Zhoutetsu Station
Located in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of Planning Road and Planning Zhouqian Road, it is laid in an east-west direction along the north side of the planning road, and is designed as a two-story side station on the ground, with a total construction area of 6441.45 square meters.
- Mashan Station
Located at the intersection of Xueyun Road and Xiaguang Road, the station is designed as a two-storey underground side station, with a total construction area of about 20,874.2 square meters.
- Gedaiqiao Station
Located on the south side of the intersection of Wanxi Road and Yuanxi Road, the station is a three-storey underground island station, which is interchange with the existing Metro Line 1 passage, with a total construction area of about 19,791.2 square meters.

The fares of the Wuxi metro network are calculated according to the mileage segment.
1. 2 yuan within 5 kilometers of the start;
2. If it exceeds 5 kilometers to 15 kilometers, it will be charged 1 yuan for every 5 kilometers (less than 5 kilometers will be charged as 5 kilometers);
