The reporter learned from the Guangdong Intercity Operating Company of Guangzhou Metro Group that in order to alleviate the pressure on the dense passenger flow sections of Guangzhao and Guanghui, combined with the overall passenger flow characteristics of the line and the travel demand of passengers, Guangdong Intercity has compiled a new version of the operation map. The adjustment will distinguish between weekdays and weekends, and add two major station express stops at Guangzhou Lianhuashan Station and Yunshan Station. Among them, 87 trains are operated every day on weekdays, and the average travel interval of Guanghui Intercity Station Express is shortened from about 2 hours to 1 hour and 40 minutes. 101 trains were operated in two days over the weekend, the overall capacity increased by 17%, and the average travel interval of express trains at Guanghui Intercity Station was reduced to 55 minutes, which was half the time before the adjustment.

The reporter inquired on the 12306 website and saw that on July 2 (Tuesday), there were 10 express trains from Yunshan Station to Panyu Station, and the running time was about one and a half hours, saving about 50 minutes compared with the slow train. The Dazhan Express runs from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the fare is 80 yuan.
Guanghui Intercity Yunshan Station is located in the center of Jiangbei CBD in the urban area, with both administrative centers and large business centers nearby, with dense crowds and large travel demand. If the public drives from Yunshan in the city to Panyu in Guangzhou, it will take two hours without traffic jams. In contrast, taking an intercity train to Guangzhou is obviously a better option. It is understood that the daily passenger flow of Yunshan Station is about 2,000 people, and it can reach 3,000 people on weekends. With the opening of the big station express, it is more convenient for citizens to take the bus from Yunshan Station to Panyu, Guangzhou.
After the operation of the "four-line through", the passenger flow of Guanghui intercity has doubled
On May 26, the Guangzhou-Foshan South Ring Road and Foguan Intercity Railway were officially put into operation, connecting with Dongguan-Huizhou and Fozhou-Zhaozhou intercity railways. So far, the five cities of Huizhou, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing have achieved "first-line" penetration. After the four intercity railways are connected, they form a 258-kilometre-long main transportation corridor in the Greater Bay Area with a maximum speed of 200 kilometres per hour. An intercity train from any of these cities will provide direct access to the other four cities, with shorter intervals and more direct trains.

Statistics show that since the operation of the "four-line through", Guangzhao and Guanghui intercity have sent a total of 2.259 million passengers, of which Guanghui intercity passenger flow accounted for 72.5%, and the top three stations in terms of sending volume were Xiping West Station, Panyu Station and Guangzhou Chimelong Station. The average daily passenger flow of the two lines on weekdays was 52,000, and the average daily passenger flow on weekends and holidays doubled to 112,000. The public transportation multi-payment ticketing system also added 472,000 registrations, and passengers accounted for 31.1% of ticket purchases.
