The 2024 railway summer transportation period is from July 1 to August 31, a total of 62 days. The summer passenger flow of Shaanxi Railway is mainly based on tourism, business, students and migrant workers, the inter-provincial summer direct passenger flow is mainly concentrated in Chengdu, Chongqing, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Taiyuan, Beijing, Shanghai and other directions, and the summer passenger flow in the tube is mainly from Xi'an to Baoji, Hanzhong, Yan'an, Yulin, Ankang and other directions.
40 pairs of passenger trains were added
During the summer transportation period, the Xi'an Railway Bureau plans to add 40 pairs of passenger trains, of which, in the direction of outside the province, 28 pairs of two-way through trains from Xi'an to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Taiyuan, Lanzhou, Xining, Urumqi, Wuchang, Shanghai, Shangqiu, Hohhot, Yingtan and other directions; In the direction of the province, 12 pairs of two-way trains from Xi'an to Baoji, Hanzhong, Dali, Pucheng, Yulin and other directions will be added.
In order to improve the passenger experience, EMU trains accounted for 69% of the direct passenger trains in the summer, an increase of 13% compared with this year's Spring Festival.

Xi'an Railway Bureau vigorously optimizes the payment service of railway stations, and connects with relevant banks to update and upgrade the POS payment equipment at the station to further meet the diversified payment needs of passengers.
Up to now, 11 stations, including Baoji Station, Baoji South Station, Hanzhong Station, Foping Station, Wugong Station, Ningqiang South Station, Wanyuan Station, Ziyang Station, Xunyang Station, Baihe County Station and Xiaohe Town Station, can provide overseas bank card swiping services. In addition, the foreign currency exchange point of Xi'an North Railway Station can exchange five common foreign currencies such as US dollars and euros, and some merchants can use overseas bank cards to pay.
Expand the route of the special tourist train
During the summer transportation period, the Xi'an Railway Bureau plans to run tourist trains from Xi'an to Urumqi, Ejina, Mohe and other popular directions on the basis of the four planned tourist routes in the province from Xi'an to Qinling, Xi'an to Yaozhou, Xi'an to Yan'an, and Xi'an to Yulin, and carefully build the "Silk Road" tourist special train brand.

At the same time, the flow of people during the summer travel period is relatively dense, and passengers with travel needs can go out in advance to reserve sufficient time for traffic transfer, entry security check and ticket inspection to avoid delaying the trip.
