Muzha, also known as the Hui'an Messenger, is the most favored disciple of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Whenever the Bodhisattva went out on errands, he would take him with him, but the Dragon Maiden had never received this honor. This makes many readers curious, what is the reason why Muzha is so favored?
First of all, let's take stock of who are under Guanyin Bodhisattva. In addition to Muzha and the Dragon Maiden, there are also the twenty-four heavens, the black bear essence of the mountain guarding god, the pet goldfish essence, etc., which can be described as masters. However, the only people who can really be called the disciples of Guanyin Bodhisattva are Muzha, the Dragon Girl and the red boy who was later subdued.
Among them, the dragon girl holding the pearl is the closest female disciple of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Whenever the Bodhisattva is at home at leisure, the dragon maiden is by her side. But even so, the dragon girl's ability is really limited, and she can't even calculate an account, so she was simply thrown away to hold the beads.
On the other hand, Muzha, his background is not small. His father is the Tota Li Heavenly King, and his status in the Heavenly Court is even higher than that of the Four Heavenly Kings. However, when the red child was subdued, Guanyin Bodhisattva let Muzha go with him for the last time. She also specially asked Mu Zha to go to the Heavenly Court to borrow thirty-six Tiangang knives from his father, King Tota Li, to use to deal with the red child's samadhi true fire. From this, we can see the shrewdness and great wisdom of the Bodhisattva.
On the one hand, she didn't borrow the knife in person to avoid face embarrassment; On the other hand, if the red child is a relative of a god in the heavenly court, he can also shirk his responsibility by borrowing a knife. After subduing the Red Child, the Bodhisattva found that the child was superior in strength, so he switched to the Red Child as his guest. Since then, Muzha has rarely been taken with him anymore.
Through the above analysis, we can understand that Guanyin Bodhisattva's love for Muzha is mainly due to Muzha's noble background, excellent martial arts, high emotional intelligence, and intermediate identity between Heaven and Lingshan. In contrast, the Dragon Girl's nature is limited, and her background is too humble to be up to the task.
